Today my wife and I worked out on our pistols and we really got dialed in quickly . What is pretty cool is the difference in loudness from the Remington Thunderbolt crap ammo and the CCI Velocitors. Only shot 10 velocitors as those are like gold right now. Those really bark and sound more like a 380 or a 9 mm volume wise. I like how well the Velocitors cycle flawless as well. We had two duds in the Thunderbolts one shot on the third try and other was a no go. We shot at 30 feet and were deadly accurate and also pretty fast on our magazine change outs. I really do like these pistols. 100 rounds today another 100 tomorrow and then put them away again. These are the in home back up to the shotgun. I think we are pretty well set.

One of my Ruger 22/45s has the 4.4" Threaded Barrel, that is CAN Ready.... Waiting for ATF to drop CANs from the NFA Regulations....

I have a SR-22 also and love it. Cleans easily too as break down is a snap...unlike the old Ruger Markman II I had which was a pain in backside. Only thing I don't like about the SR-22 is the long trigger pull for the first shot. I got the threaded barrel also just in case some day I want a suppressor for it.

Pretty much the same tale as above! I got one for my granddaughter, when she returned from her tour in Bahrain (Navy Corpsman). We both like it a lot! Hers is accurate, eats anything and is easy to clean!
 I dug deep in my stash and gave her a box of Yellow Jackets, for an emergency!:)

Do you really think that is possible? I can't see the government giving up anything once it has it, certainly not anything they make money from. I hope you are right because I would actually like one to play around with but don't want to pay the tax and go through all the paperwork for it.

Question about the SR22? How easy is it to rack back the slide to chamber or clear a round? Thinking about one primarily for my wife and she has problems with arthritis in her hands. She shoots quite a bit and is a good shot, but its difficult for her to fully operate the guns I now have.

ONLY two dud rounds with Rem Thunderdolt .22s?! OK, either you only shot three rounds of it or I have to call BS on that.

[better late than never] My wife also has very weak wrists and was able to handle the slide (the slide spring isn't as strong as larger calibers).
It's surprisingly accurate! It was strongly recommended by a seasoned gun salesman - he put it far above some other "big" names that I was looking to purchase.
My version does not have the threaded barrel, but it appears the newer versions do (?). Going to have to look into upgrading :^)

You can buy a threaded barrel kit from Ruger, Little over 100.00 bucks maybe 120.00 ?
