Always will find idiots with more dollars than sense...I think it's pretty safe for me to say you have the respect of most Monkeys :)

Gender places no limitation on knowledge...nor is it restricted to either one.

Smile and ring up another sale!

This reminds me of a Hardcore Pawn clip that TruTv posted on youtube. This guy comes in wanting something, think it was a pressure washer, and didn't want to be helped by a woman, she's answering his questions properly, and it's obvious he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about, but he tells the security guard guy that she can't help him because she's a dumb female, and the security guard says she can't be that dumb, she's the owner, the look on the customer's face was priceless.

As for 'knowledge', my mother knows more about cars than most guys I know.

And for customer service, I prefer dealing with small 'niche' companies, because the customer service people tend to be there because they want to, it's not just a 'job' to them. I remember a couple years back, putting in an order at Bountiful Gardens nursery over the phone, the gal on their end was very friendly and joking with me. When I was going through the list of seeds, and said "Hell's Canyon Millet", her response was "You said a bad word!" :)

A few years ago I picked up a 300 WINMag.. I have yet to send a round out of it.. It is a project gun waiting to meet it's potential.. All it needs is the right parts to allow it to meet those potentials.. And someone with the skills to help it achieve that potential.. It may not be me or just maybe it will.. ANYONE that can provide the advise for that rifle to meet it's potential is welcomed by me.

Therein is the difference between the intellectual arrogance of a know it all, and the intellectual humility of one who is open to the advice and guidance of those who actually know what they are talking about..

I spent a life time in the service and we were very hard on our pilots, only the most senior were even welcome to apply for the job, and then we would spend months with them unlearning what they knew, to get them to fly the way we needed them to. The very best flight crew we ever had was Female! One was a Full Bird Col. and the other was a Capt, those two took a hell of a lot of work, but when we were done with them, I wouldn't fly with any other crew. Period! They had "The Touch" they both could make that chopper dance and they were so smooth at it! And, they both had Zero problems taking instructions from an NCO like me, as they should! LOL We had a bad crash one time, and if we hadn't had those two on the sticks, I probably wouldn't be here! So for those that say females don't belong in the service, or that females cant do a mans work, Or females doesn't know any thing Manly, I tell them to Go Pound Sand!!!

In a perfect world, all that would matter was if you could do the job. We all know how that goes...

When it comes to firearms My youngest daughter can out shoot the vast majority of weekend plinkers. She would even give a trained marksman a run for his money. So I have no bias towards accomplished women.
However, and I expect a lot of flak over this, there are just certain places where I would rather be waited on by a man. The Hardware store, the Auto parts store and the Feed store.
I have nothing against women working in those places but I believe that it is the modern chain store outlets that have fostered that prejudice in me. That and the era and place I grew up in.
In my little farm town the local hardware and feed stores were man caves where the local men would gather around the wood burning stove, drink coffee and shoot the bull. We didn't have an auto parts store. The guy that owned and ran the hardware store knew every piece of stock he had in there and could tell you how to fix any problem you had. And a lot of it was improvised, makeshift fixes. We didn't call plumbers or electricians, we fixed it ourselves.
These modern chain outlets have people working there that have gone through a training course, they may know the stock and what it is supposed to be used for but usually they are little help if you go off the according to Hoyle playbook. That goes for both the men and women, but I seem to find it more in the women. Most have never worked as a plumber or electrician or rebuilt an engine. And granted many of the guys haven't either but in general there are many more that have.
I think that attitude will eventually die out with my generation but unfortunately it is ingrained in my psyche. A cultural prejudice left over from the days when there were some places that were "man zones".
And maybe a little bit can be attributed to growing up watching the Little Rascals!

FWIW, RH would be the first one I would call on to help me with any firearm questions. When I move back to the US I fully intend to order one of her rifles and give her free reign to configure it however she sees fit.

Not being female, I would have considered validating him and saying that any rifleMan should be able to hit a 12" gong at 1000 yards more often then not.

Then just wait till he would get out there and find something wrong with 'the gun' lol.
