It should work. How well it works will have to wait on product testing. So far, I see nothing but an advertising claim of 4.5 hours to fully charge. That begs the question, fully charge what? It's a fair bet that dragging it behind your kayak would not work well --

We know all about you southern scoundrels gator. If it moves, kill it and cook it. If it doesn't move, skin it and feed the carcass to the gators, the reptilian kind

It will work, how useful it would be for survival is another story. It shows where we are going in our short term survival needs. A small generator and battery that is rather inefficient will charge 3 cell phones. A small solar cell battery system or wind mill or water power unit will recharge led's, walky talkies, steri pen, small dc water pumps etc. Half of the "camping" stuff out there did not exist 40 years ago

An energy self sufficiency sea anchor? Probably one of those function compromises that doesn't do either job very efficiently. ;)

Obviously not the military type scoundrel... if it move salute it... if it doesn't move pick it up... if you can't pick it up paint it....

I can see this working for the city crowd, but it's not something I am going to haul around with me, with space and useful items all ready at a prime! It cracks me up. towing this behind a Kayak, a better use of the kayak would be surface area for solar panels! Work smart not hard!
