On the flip side, given that the left half of the brain controls the right side of one's body and the brain's right half controls the left half of the body, that means only lefties are in their right mind.

    Yep, yep yep!!!

Having your left hand taped shut in 5th grade to make you write right handed because left handed kids were mentally "deficient". Never mind dyslexic was never diagnosed in the early 60's
Sending you to motor skills classes with the "retarded kids" to help your mind adapt and get "right"

Then in 6th grade taking an IQ test for the first time and scoring 175

    Scissors, buttons, zippers guns

Shot left handed pistols/rifles. Nothing better than hot brass and unburnt powder flying past your face.

Throw, golf, bat right handed cuz there were no left handed bats ;) or golf clubs

But on the plus side the "right mind" comments is really a plus as it connects the motor skills side with the creative side enhancing my creative skills like engineering and photography.

Not brought up Catholic. But, I was sent to a Catholic school from 2nd through 7th grades. They treated me like dirt. Forced me to use my right hand. This was in the 70's. Until this day, it does something to me to see nuns wearing habits.

I shoot a rifle left handed. My Dad bought me this heavy Sheridan pellet gun and didn't tell me that I wasn't supposed to support the weight of the rifle with my stronger right arm, pull the trigger with your weak hand. I think you are all doing it wrong.

Oh my gosh, is that why??? For years I have been griping about the broom unscrewing. I have had many rants about inferior quality but all the time it was me. I am embarrassed to say how many brooms I have bought because the one we had was a POS.

lol ..... you take a drill with a small bit 1/16 or so after you screw the handle into the broom head, then drill a hole into the handle tip thru the side of the broom head. put a screw in to secure the 2. problem forever solved. don't forget to take screw out before trying to remove broom head on purpose.

Wow. Learned something new today. I have had that happen as well but never made a connection to what hand was dominate. I had a maid service that cleaned our trailers on remote oil locations. One maid told me "You're left handed aren't you?" She was new and I knew I hadn't signed anything in front of her so I asked how she knew. She said by the way my clothes were hung in the closet. Left handed people tend to hang their clothes so they face the left so when you (sort/scroll) though them you can see them. A right handed person, generally, hangs them facing the right. Or maybe it was vice versa, I'm trying to remember how my clothes hang.

Right handed, I am, and hang shirts open to the left. In your case, is your wife a lefty or righty? :p

Right hander here...I hang them facing left because they are easier to see as I scroll through with my right hand...

Not a scientific survey and YMMV but in general lefties hang them facing to the left. I had to go look at my closet. And I am on the rig so they get hung up by me. At home I am constantly having to arrange my closet. I may be a bit OCD but I like all the shirts facing the same way, the top, collar button/snap fastened. So they don't slump down on the hangers. The collars folded down. All the long sleeve shirts together, all the short sleeves together, all the sleeveless together. T-Shirts in the drawer. Coats together, sweaters together. I have a section of the closet for just my riding gear. Leather vests, jacket, shirts, chaps and pants. Yes I wear leather pants, I grew up in the 70's. And they are warm on winter rides.

Actually mine sounds a lot like yours. Pointed left, left to right is coats, jackets, hoodies, pants, polos, printed/color tees, long sleeved tees, short sleeve dress shirts and long sleeve dress shirts (I don't wear sweaters). My arrangement since the closet became mine only a couple years ago...and I am right handed.
