Breaking!! Major Court Victory Against Obama "Bathroom" Directive.
A Texas federal judge just ruled (Sunday night) that Obama's Bathroom Directive will be stopped and not enforced in Texas and 12 other states. When schools start on Monday morning, Texas school children and those in 12 other states will have their privacy and safety protected! Texas schools cannot be forced by the DOE to allow boys into girls bathrooms and locker rooms. The 12 other states are: ALABAMA, WISCONSIN, WEST VIRGINIA, TENNESSEE, ARIZONA, MAINE, OKLAHOMA, LOUISIANA, GEORGIA, UTAH, MISSISSIPPI, KENTUCKY. More details to come shortly.
“For the foregoing reasons, the Court finds that Plaintiffs’ (TEXAS’, other states) application for a preliminary injunction (ECF No. 11) should be and is hereby GRANTED. Defendants (Obama’s Dept. of Justice) are enjoined from enforcing the (Bathroom) Guidelines against Plaintiffs and their respective schools, school boards, and other public, educationally-based institutions. Further, while this injunction remains in place, Defendants are enjoined from initiating, continuing, or concluding any investigation based on Defendants’ interpretation that the definition of sex includes gender identity in Title IX’s prohibition against discrimination on the basis of sex. Additionally, Defendants are enjoined from using the Guidelines or asserting the Guidelines carry weight in any litigation initiated following the date of this Order. All parties to this cause of action must maintain the status quo as of the date of issuance of this Order and this preliminary injunction will remain in effect until the Court rules on the merits of this claim, or until further direction from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.” Judge Reed O'Connor

I love it when the "Constitution Expert and Professor" Obama gets this crap shoved back in his face. Target just announced plans to build single stall bathrooms in all it's stores at a cost of several million dollars due to the decline in sales since last April when they jumped to the forefront on supporting perversion which cost them 20 billion in stock value. I am amazed that their liberal idiot CEO has not been fired.

I'm happy to see this as I personally don't want men in women's bathrooms.

One of the things that has bothered me about the violent opposition is... it seems to me.... that we are assuming all men will go into women's bathrooms and do what molest little girls? I find most men are decent and would not violate the traditional women's and men's bathroom standards (which is reall y only a USA thing with our puritan background )

And the underlying assumption is that most men will go into a woman's bathroom if allowed and do what? I really don't get the violent opposition to this transgender bathroom usage.

I don't think it's "most" men that the opponents are worried about, it's the perverts(men or women) who will use this to do whatever they want. The 'law' allowed so much leeway to be misused, it's not worth crap.

The single stall bathrooms has been touted as a 'safe' solution pretty much ever since this 'controversy' started, but it was an easy answer, and people on both sides just wanted to throw tantrums.

I don't think people wanted to throw tantrums, they did not want this issue at all. I think conservatives don't like this, or gay marriage, shoved down our throats without any voice on the issue. We have State Governments for a reason. The federal government has no rights under the Constitution that are not specifically granted to it or specifically denied the States. But somehow, who goes into which bathroom, who teenage girls have to shower with, is now under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government regardless of what the voters of a State, like Texas, want. Target and Walmart have had family bathrooms for YEARS, yet this was not accommodation enough for those delusional enough to think they can "decide" which biological sex they belong to. I can no more be female than I could be Chinese, it is simply not in my genetic makeup. Transgender men make up about three-tenth of one percent of the population. To remove privacy in restrooms for women and girls in the remaining 99.7% of the population for the sake of the .3% (who need mental help) is simply wrong. I don't think men care. I have seen a lot of women in men's rooms and they simply get laughed at but it does not bother most of us. It does bother me and my daughter for her sake and that of my 3 year old grand-daughter. I agree 99% of the time transgender men would not harm them, but 100% if the time it would bother them. I also know that they have been using the bathroom of their choice for a long time. If they can pull it off without alarming anyone then fine. If not, pee at home or use the family bathroom.

That is, quite possibly, the most encouraging thing I've heard in weeks. Frankly, I don't care what Target does, they can hire Franklin Graham as their CEO, I won't walk back into a store that has publicly stated they hate Christians (for all practical purposes). Good luck with wringing a dime out of those deadbeat liberals you guys love so much.

I will say that one of my dearest friends has Turner syndrome and is therefore transgender. That being said, there have already been several cases of men dressed as women going into women's bathrooms for the sole purpose of filming women in the stalls. Having said that, the whole point of this is to further muddy gender roles and scare people from publicly stating non-liberal ideas. It's another opportunity to call someone a bigot on the right for having the audacity to state that gender is not a social construct. Science defends that, btw. It's 1984. I'll hold up five fingers and torture you until you're willing to call it four fingers. It undermines the concept of facts and destroys the meaning of even basic words. So, when you say, "Hey, that's a guy in the women's bathroom taking pics of a little girl" they respond "Why are you such a bigot?"

I'm sorry you folks seem to be missing the major point of this... it's not necessarily the perverts that are at issue... it's the fact that men's bathrooms only have a limited number of stalls with the rest of the facility being urinals... IF this passes the women will take over all of the stalls and we will see lines of women outside of the men's room and not just the ladies restrooms....

lol @Witch Doctor 01 its too late for that defense.... me and the girls have been known to block the men's restroom in dire emergencies =)

I see your point @T. Riley it is 1) a privacy issue and 2) states rights, not necessarily just some issue with multivariate sexuality issue.

I too don't care if they are discreet and want to use women's restroom but I don't like it thrown in my face either. To Be honest, I 'm not that fond of watching heterosexuals groping each other in public much less any other (fill-in the blank sexual preference)

when Obummer thried to enforce this I don't think he thought this out. Safety is a huge issue for women. Like men think about sex, women think about safety. Its hardwired into us we can't help it. ANd having men in women's bathrooms is a safety issue for most women.
