If what this person posits comes to pass, it will only mean that the violence will become more widespread.

I'd rather see a post where an writer simply says - I'm not paying for the crap anymore. A variation, if you will of the old "Turn on, tune in and drop out" meme of the 60's.

    Starve the beast.

Recently, someone here posted a video of this talking suit who was speaking to LEOs...I think it was the director of the ATF, I honestly can't remember but he had been in Law Enforcement for over 30 years and he was talking about domestic terrorists. What truly amazed me is he showed a slide that said only 19% of the American populous trusted the American government. Only 19%!!!! And, he admitted it and didn't question the data. It still shocks me, 81% of the country distrusts Washington.

So, yeah, I think everyone is behaving themselves for now but after the election that will end. And, if Hillary gets in and does something silly - well - I think they will see demonstrations the like that will rock this nation right out of its boots. Think about it. Are you giving up your firearms? Will even your local lawman enforce such an action or your Mayors or Governors? I think there is a very fine line and once it is crossed there is no going back, like crossing the Rubicon. She will be the one to cross it in her arrogance. And, honestly, I hope she does because nothing is ever going to change unless it comes about in this manner.

Everything I have read about... all the failsafe measures that have been taken... it's obvious that they all are prepared for something like this to happen. Once the first brick is thrown they will invoke a state of martial law. They know a protest can't last long term because people need to eat and they control the food. People need to sleep and they own their homes. People are still way too dependent on the system to rebel against it. It's like an adolescent teen trying to rebel against their parents while still living in their house. Sooner or later, everyone has to face the fact that the off gridders like you all are really the only ones with a true voice to stand up against the system. The protest can be sustained and actually gain momentum if others choose to join and stand United for their right to a sovereign existance on this earth... but how do we get there? What would make us unify? Who actually has the balls and who can inspire others to grow a spare as well instead of hiding in the monsters womb?

I personally don't have a lot to live for besides the idea of raising a family as a free man. I would be willing to give up every thing if it meant a better life for my future children. Even of I were to die, at least it would be for something I believe in.

It is my firm belief that when Hillary is elected, and she will be, I don't doubt for an instant, State's Rights will void any attempt at firearms control, at least in the South and the real West (California, Washington, and Oregon have too many Libs). I truly believe that States standing and reaffirming their Authority supported by the Constitution for the United States of America will pass legislation demanding any Federal attempt at enforcing unconstitutional BS, will stand fast, even to the point of of secession, if necessary. The Federal government is a giant corporation, owned and controlled by an Oligarchy, predominately not even citizens or residents of this nation. Rothchilds alone, control over 500 trillion dollars and have financed both sides of every war fought on planet earth since Napoleon. The people that actually control our country have us indentured by debt that forces us to work for a valueless paper currency, soley as a means of control. Mother Earth does not charge us a dime for her assets or the use of them but we are now buying water, light, fuel, food, clothing, shelter and Pokiemon apps with debt being paid in imaginary money to a handful of anonymous rulers with armies, navies, and drones. The only way possible for us to ever reassert our rights and freedoms as free men, is to deny the use of their currency, in mass, rendering it powerless. If it will not purchase a cracker, even their repo men will have to rely on a new currency backed by natural resources. This has been done before, do you really think we fought Hitler because of his racist policies? We didn't even know about Dachau until the end of the war, if he hadn't Nationalized and taken over ITT, the history channel would be filled with a quite different theme to their documentaries.

Simple reality: before the beast starves it will eat everything you own and then you. Prepare accordingly.

States passed the first gun control laws...including the wacky notion that hiding your gun in your pants was bad and needed to be strictly regulated by a permitting scheme. Most of those permitting schemes were pretty restrictive until recent years...others still are. New York's Sullivan Act predates all federal gun control laws. Texas banned the open carry of handguns in 1866.

Point is, don't expect the States to protect your gun rights or any other rights. Slimy politicians an busy-body nanny-statists are found at all levels of government.

Exactly. In Oregon the hoplophobes in Salem are on a mission and they'll do whatever it takes to have their way.

As we learned from killery once you have enough money and influence you are obviously untouchable. You do what ever you want, when you want, ignore as many rules as you want because they do not apply to you. Now that's freedom. Who would have thought the some one with the likes or her would have figured it out.

@GhostX "Once the first brick is thrown they will invoke a state of martial law."
Perhaps that is a good thing for nothing is going to get better until it gets worse.
"... but how do we get there?"
We get there when they go too far, like when they invoke martial law.
"They know a protest can't last long term because people need to eat and they control the food."
So, you think they will only allow food distribution to those that don't protest? And, how will they tell the protestor from the non-protestor. I think halting food distribution would only make matter worse for them. It wouldn't be just demonstrations then but complete and utterly mad anarchy.

@Seacowboys "I truly believe that States standing and reaffirming their Authority supported by the Constitution for the United States of America will pass legislation demanding any Federal attempt at enforcing unconstitutional BS, will stand fast, even to the point of secession, if necessary."
I think some will do so but not all. New York, California and Illinois will undoubting support the Feds in any and all things. Probably a lot more also like Washington State, maybe Florida...

"The Federal government is a giant corporation, owned and controlled by an Oligarchy, predominately not even citizens or residents of this nation."
This I do agree with and what you said about International corporations even during WW2 playing both sides of the field. They indeed are the government in this country and many, many other countries. It is really strange when one sits down and thinks about it because it is like a damn nightmare come true for there really isn't any country anymore, no America. It's all a lie.

As Alan Shepard said, "Light this candle"!!!!!!

The time is near for something to happen. Hitlary getting the nod could do it...with her planned governmental over-reach, SCOTUS appointments and the war on the 2A & the NRA she continually talks about... that would be enough to put folks over the edge.

Of course, I am voting for the economy to take a steep nose dive regardless of who wins the office.....it would even be to the lib's advantage if it happened during Trump's watch.... blame the right as usual for the collapse. But the next collapse will make 2008 look like a speed bump......

Oh well.... back to cleaning firearms, collecting more foodstuff's, gear, ammo & so on..... just another day in the life of a Modern Pioneer.....or whatever the handle for our type is now days....... LOL.

But after all the anarchy and protests, who's to say that the same people who run this country now won't pick up the pieces then? People are made to believe that the president is the head of the snake but it's not. The president is more like a useless appendage meant to distract everyone while the real head makes it dance. There needs to be order and organization amidst the chaos that is bound to come if any true change is going to happen. Something that gives the power to the citizens as we all work to rebuild the nation. I have ideas but I'm not sure if humanity is ready for it yet.

Cut the heads off ALL of the snakes..... problem solved..... unfortunately not so much, yet a good start. Man is a sinner, he will work for his own benefit in general, without the rule of law constricting him to the societal norms of good behavior in a community. The constitution was meant to tie the hands of the government with checks and balances, as well as co-equal branches of government. The problem is, that has been co-opted by a duplicitous two party system that has figured out how to get rich off the sweat of the citizens, by those two parties actually working in concert towards their goals.... not those of this lands people. "They" need to be purged.... and the shackles of the constitution need to be reinforced to prevent the repeat of those issues we are seeing now, with our current elitist government. Term limits, limited government, resurrection of states rights and so on....

Lol, you make it sound so easy. Finding all the heads would be a bitch in itself. Organizing people to seek out and cut the heads would be another challenge, as you said, most people are about their own interests and would be more prone to looting. But if there was a message that could help to cut through all the apathy and self centeredness of people, something that would help people recognize how they have adopted a Stockholm syndrome relationship with their own government, that would be a good start... but that also has been tried before. Most people just write it off as "people with tinfoil hats" that are disconnected from reality. The sad truth is that they are the ones living in a fantasy world of freedom and prosperity. Many don't understand the true meaning of indentured servitude and how they fit exactly within the lines of that definition. Many have acquired a kind of OCD and are hopelessly addicted to their routines and are scared shitless to deviate for fear that their world will come crashing down on top of them.

It would be no small feet that would require the participation of more than half of the country for it to become an effective movement. It is possible though and every year more people are beginning to wake up to this reality. On the other hand, the government has been perfecting its contingencies to keep the likelihood of success below 25%.
