It was a little BETTER before the o got in office... thinkin maybe they are being ordered to do this? and this is pretty much how things go now... 2 videos and 2 links... conservativevideos.com/cancer-…y-veterans-treated-video/ insider.foxnews.com/2016/08/28…ctor-visit-audio-shocking
Creating dissension wherever they can. Order out of chaos. The proverbial Orwellian boot is to follow.
The Phoenix VA has long been a black eye for the entire system. I don't understand considering how much scrutiny they have been under that nothing as been done.
I could go on for days about my VA care.....and all it does is make me feel worse......Sinus surgery due to a never ending sinus infection that VA says was not due to living at 7400 feet in the Hindu Kush dirt storms and living next to a Burn Pit and Sewage ponds for 9 months......and then they go after my Tax refund because I was not paying them on a schedule they set forth......that will piss you off......then they find during a routine blood test that my PSA level was high, do a biopsy, find cancer, get 90 pieces of radiation put in my prostrate gland to kill it and tell me i'm fine.....then after a follow up blood test they tell me i'm fine......then several months later I get a call that last blood test was bad and my cancer may be back and require radiation or surgery......still trying to figure out if they want to help me or let me die ?? and then they wonder why Veterans have such attitudes.....go figure.....my rant for the month....
You might see if you can find a veterans advocate lawyer to help you . Maybe make enough noise and they'll do something . I know this may be like trying to piss up a rope , but you might get lucky and find the right person . I went to my 6th shrink yesterday , and every time I get a foreign sob and my whole life gets screwed up . Now that I think about my experience with them , I may be in the same boat . I hope you're able to get the care you need .
Wow, more horror stories from the VA. And that's just a few people on here. I can only imagine how widespread these problems are. Tragedy is, it'll never be fixed under 0, or most likely, any other Democrat.
Methinks that unless and until the VA is brought under Military control rather than the simplistic economic control of Congress, the VA will remain a fuster cluck of an operation. It stinks of patronage, it's laden with hacks given jobs and forced hiring preferences. Managers are hobbled by PC restrictions, red tape and have to work with the staff they are handed, usually not enough. Until a Patton comes along and is given a charter to stir the pot, it won't get a change. I have to add that there are some honest and hard working third parties doing their dead level best to push fixes into the system with tiny bits of success here and there.
I sat for 3 hours for an "appointment" that I had made several months back, while this poor kid sitting across from me is bleeding from a stump breakdown due to an ill fitting prosthetic leg. Talk about F-ed up, the VA will not support any new technology in prosthesis development, you are stuck with VA approved fitments from choice suppliers with no recourse unless you choose to fund something your self out of pocket! This kids leg would cost over 20k and require a year or more to tune it for proper fit and function, and the VA wouldn't kick in any thing to help offset any costs, not would they treat because it's "non standard"
Like I said was somewhat better BEFORE the o got in office... SEEMS like it has gotten worse... and IMHO that is more then likely they were given ORDERS to do things this way... the Dr. I have seen all do their best... and they seem to want to... but it's like they are put on a leash or something...
My Dr is a real upstanding guy that really honestly tries his damn best. I have no problems with the people actually trying to do the work, what I do have a problem with is some dumb ass bureaucrat that has never lifted a finger of real work in his or her life, never served in the military, pulling on the strings and screwing all of us that have served! And yea, I bet it's under orders from the Kenyan in Chief!!!
That might be one of the ills of the USA that cannot be blamed on zero. It predates him by about 30 or more years.
...and on the other end of the spectrum, I've not had any problems with the VA. The longest wait on an appointment was 5 or 10 minutes. Always get courtesy reminders a few days prior and no long waits to get an appointment set up. Even a walk-in took less than 30 minutes... Go figure?
A lot of it depends where you are at I was in az and could get things done when I came to a small va clinic it was a switch was thrown in the system
Every visit there annually, they do a PTSD screening. Reaching hard for veteran's gun rights in addition to giving us horrible treatment.
