Anyone have much experience with one? Just picked one up, LNIB with 4 factory mags two still in the plastic. Really don't plan on keeping it, but from what I've found they are supposed to be kind of hard to find.I got it,mags and 100 rns of CCI ammo for $450.00 Figured it as trading stock or???
Always wanted one. I have some Kel-Tec stuff and always thought it was under rated. Like Glocks, they seem to just work.
The don't seem to like armscore ammo.... And I wouldn't load the magsto max.... 25 seems to be a happy medium....
shot one a couple of times. Brand new .. kinda sticky. lots of FTF and not locking into battery. Shot it again a few months later after several hundred rounds, it ran like clockwork. accuracy is decent but it's not a bulleye gun. It is a blast to shoot until you figure out how much that mag dump just cost you.
Not a bad weapon. Got to echo VT's experiences...takes a while to break in, and while not a tack driver does fairly well using CCI 40gr hollow points.
I have a colt 22 ss bull barrel semi auto it came with 2 clips but want more.bought it 20+ years ago .they seem to be rare.no other name just colt on the side does any one know about these?
Back in the mid 90s they had a Colt .22 It looked like a Woodsman profile but had thick barrel .. maybe a like a shroud on the browning buckmark. It may be that model.
I've been shooting steel plate zombie shoots with mine all summer and it does a fine job. I tested it quite a bit on the steel before making the switch from 9mm, and unless I get a straight on, dead center hit on a plate, it will fall. I got lots of comments about magazine capacity after I ran whole stages on one mag. I've been loading all three magazines to 30 rounds and have had no issues at all. I'm very fond of the little magnum. I put it on paper at 7 yards yesterday and it groups just a little low and left of point of aim, but still within a 1" circle. The sights are enormous and very visible, which make it well suited to speed shooting, but not so hot as a target pistol. The wind was blowing some un-burned powder back in my face, but it wasn't distracting. In fact, this is the first time I have noticed the debris hitting me at all. I was in a bit of a bind finding a holster on short notice, but the PMR30 fits fine in a Bianchi M12 military flap holster. Three magazines fit great in a High Speed Gear triple taco.
How does it compare to the PLR-16? Pretty much all I know was taken from this article, but I'd rather hear from an expert
PLR-16 is a different animal all together. It shoots a 5.56 Nato / .223 centerfire round I've not shot this one but going to suspect that it has a very loud report, big fire ball about the muzzle end and recoils a fair bit more than the PMR-30. but that is just a guess. Any monkeys got one?
It's is colt "scout" you were right it just doesn't say that any where on gun or case.it seems colt only made 3k of them.and I found some mags but expensive.I want to keep it for my grandkids. Thanks for information. I can't afford an ar15 there are some knockoffs but I don't think I trust them what would you recommend.I have thought about rossi mod 92 357/38 because I have others same caliber it's a 17 rd shot thanks again
Best friend has a PMR-30, he loves it, carries it all the time. I've shot it a few times, it's a decent shooter. He doesn't love buying ammo for it though.
Hmmm. Mines only a 12+1, but a joy to shoot. Safety mechanism is a joke, but aftermarket rear sight is available to fill the hole
Update: Wife's uncle and family came over for ribs and burgers. Brought out the pistol. As soon as he saw the case he was " No you didn't. I've been on the list at the gun store for 6 months for one of those!" Told him I stumbled onto it and was planning on trading/selling it, "You're selling it to ME!" LOL, so being the good guy that I am, it now has a new home. I certainly won't make anything more than I paid for it, but it felt good to see another gun guy finally get what he's been chasing for a long time. Guy's face lit up like a kid on Christmas morn
Thanks G, yeah it is I guess. I love the guy ta death and would've gladly given it to him but he's the type that while he's the first to help you out, he's the last to take anything for himself. He's helped me out on the place here A LOT over the last year.
