TIME TO PROTEST FOOTBALL

I have played footall since I was a kid I had a shot to go pro when I was 24. I have played 8 years of smipro football and I have given a good part of my life and a knee to that sport so this post is not written in haste or with prejudice. But when I come home after work and sit to watch a game and see players sitting during the national anthem because of some moron thinks our country is oppressing people of color and now the team I am a fan of is trying to get the whole team to sit I say SCREW FOOTBALL if the league will let this cap fly and it is not even based on fact!! I am mad as hell about this crap and our vets do not deserve that kind of disrespect by ignorant spoiled pricks!

I'm sorry to rant but I just could ot hold this in I gave so much for that game and it is hard enough to watch any way but when I do I see this crap I just want to beat them with a very rusty ax
They are trying to start a race war and with dip shit like that they might get it just be careful what you wish for

I dropped football about 25 years ago. The NFL is registered as a non-profit organization - WTF !! I decided that watching soft, spoiled, overpaid, wimps in my opinion, play a game is the height of idiocy. Better to be out doing something for myself, getting my own exercise than being a couch potato just watching big kids trying to be macho.

 

Still a Seahawks fan...all the protest crap is just static to be tuned out.

 

Sorry stopped watching years ago during a strike and just never felt the need to start watching again...

so don't really care... and am of the opinion this industry and it's following are over the top now...

but got fed up with a lot of this with the actors n crap becoming so important to people...

 

I know it just pissed me off Cuz of morons like that are making something I loved so much look so bad more blowing off steam

 

Never bothered with football. Too many interesting things to do.

At least I'm basin my opinion on fact the fact these guys are ignorant morons with no respect

 

I have a disdain for the NFL that coincidently goes back to 9/11. After the attack on the twin towers all air traffic was grounded. Several days later flight resumed but with 5 mile radius temporary no fly airspace around big stadiums etc. Like that was going to be anymore effective than "gun free zones."

The FAA Director of Air Space who I happened to know from his previous job, even acknowledged to me it was to just make people feel safer. "Pacify the Paranoid" was how I described it, he smiled and nodded. Eventually the public was distracted by something else and the FAA was going to lift the restrictions. The NFL objected. NFL claimed no fly zones were still needed for safety and other BS but it was really about money.

The NFL could not control nor get a piece of the action of the banner tow planes. The FAA director in so many words without flat out stating it, essentially confirmed that for me. He even understood and concurred that the banner tow guys fly VFR and consequently if folks were concerned about attacks from above, the banner pilots represented the best set of eyes and neighborhood watch that could possibly be deployed as they would see everything and recognize any thing unusual. Banner towing improved safety in stadiums, didn't compromise it.

To the FAA's credit, the NFL could not convince the FAA to do their bidding with permanent no fly zones so they got congress to do it. Lots of free box seats and tickets and congress passed and W signed a bill including provisions creating the restricted airspace around all their and many other (couldn't have it looking too NFL specific) stadiums. This drove a huge number of banner flyers out of business including one of my best friends. NFL cost him well over a hundred grand and killed his little business all because of their greed for dollars and advertising control.

My friend passed away a few years later never totally financially recovering. The fucking NFL will never see a single dollar of my money.

I have no time for these "professional" sports. Getting paied as much as these ass clowns do and the often bad things they get caught doing, while representing the sport just irks me to no end! I don't even enjoy Collage level sports any more, much the same reasons. Oh well, Little League, Pop Warner and such will always be the sports I enjoy watching!

 

I may not protest their actions, but I won't be supporting their actions with my money.

 

I think the best course is to ignore them. Dont watch their games dont talk about them. Just say Who?? Never heard of him. Kaperphuck?? never heard of him.

 

I have seen what football does to young people in high school, and long ago came to the conclusion that if football were not a sport it would be considered child abuse.

The media almost never mentions the thousands of teen injuries every year, just like they don't mention the fact that after a long and successful career in the pros, most of the guys can't sit, stand, or lie down for more than 15 minutes at a time without needing something for the pain.

And by then most have brain damage worse than a stumblebum boxer, as well.

Worse yet, for every guy that finally makes the Big Bucks, there's probably a thousand that just get busted up for cheap pay..

I'd rather watch MMA--the guys don't get hurt nearly as much.

 

They are not all ass clowns there are a few that don't really care about the money the fame but play for the love and passion of the game but it pisses me off when the lime lighters shit on the game with there crap ass actions when I played I loved the game I wanted to be the best because no one could beat me I had to be that good in high school Cuz I did not have the big family name or the most popular but I started all 4 years because I worked my ass off so I could be the best there way too many players that don't care just do it for the money hell I had to pay a players fee to play smi pro. if you want to see football that is full of heart and passion for the game watch smi pro I just wanted to play with the best ........and run their asses over lol. People always asked why I did it because of how I would hurt and if I would regret it I said no because I loved the game and you only live this life once and I would have regretted not trying and just playing it safe ! Yes I hurt but I would not trade this hurt for the regret of not trying!

 

if they don't want to stand then let them stand in the unemployment line and if they hate america then show them to one of our borders and tell them to never come back

 

I love the game of football, but no longer have much use for the NFL. Pro football is like pro wrestling...an embarrassment to the actual sport.
