Dirty electricity is high frequency voltage transients not the standard 60 hz smooth sinewave. Because of the process of converting DC to AC solar systems can produce quite a lot of dirty electricity !

The dissipative noise attenuation (D.N.A.) products to remove dirty electricity from wiring can be bought here. Dirty Electricity Removal - Quality Dirty Electricity Filters

The DNA Line Filter will greatly reduce dirty electricity BEFORE it goes onto the AC buildings wiring!
It is best solution if want to reduce dirty electricity emf created by off grid solar systems .

Homes with SOLAR can have highest levels of dirty electricity.

That's funny. I've always found some of the cleanest, most stable electricity to be that from solar generation.

I would rank this down there with "free power generators" and such.

Well if you buy a decent inverter you don't need an additional filter.
I have tested my samlex, kiasae and xantrex power inverters on my fluke123 oscilloscope scope meter and they put out very clean power, much better than grid power.
Cheap modified sine wave power inverters make dirty power and nothing is going to fix that besides getting better inverters. I gave away and sold all my cheap modified sine wave inverters because they are hard on electronics and don't work with battery chargers.
Then if you feel you do need additional power filtering you can buy loose metal oxide varistors and install them on the inverter, breaker panel or in devices. These are cheap, usually less than $1 each depending on how many you buy at once.
I installed metal oxide varistors in my welders, plasma cutter, air compressors and generator.
The cutting in and out of large electromechanical devices and low power factor is what causes "dirty power".

Clean or dirty, all depends on how much you spend and how good your inverter is. Worst case is square wave or close to it and will ruin a lot of electronics, computers etc don't like it at all. The best case approaches a sine wave and need nothing to clean it up. Really need a scope to find out just what your system is producing. With a well designed rooftop system, it will probably not be needed. With a cheap Harbor Freight system, it might not be enough. If you wish to play around with solar, you really need some help to start with. In most cases however the "help" should be an interested individual rather than the local firm selling roof top solar. One size does not fit all. I am afraid that the 30 year contracts on the systems are not worth the paper they are written on. Here in New Hampshire we have all kinds of companies selling cheap power, often at about half the price of the electric company. The state forces the electric company to subsidize solar, wind, water, and alternative fuel production, insulation, efficient bulbs, etc, but not the resellers. It is just a matter of time before either the electric company goes broke or the subsidies stop. Either way you will end up in deep kim chee trying to pay off the monthly payment for the roof top source to the bank. The installer probably sold the papers to someone else on the day the system was completed.

Inverters either produce a stepped square wave AC output or a Pure Filtered Sine Wave output. If there is noise on the output, it isn't going to effect much. I'm in the BT camp on this being Snake Oil!!

Certainly is on the panel side, straight DC is difficult to muck up. However, the inverter is a different pot o' soop --

Yeah. I just realized I should have clarified my statement. Buy proper equipment and the power you generate will be as good, if not better than what is waiting to be used at your power points (wall receptacles).

Our solar generated power is DEFINITELY cleaner than mains power, here in Cambodia. But, I also use quality equipment.

I run PICO scope 4 channel unit and the frequency that the video & the OP is pushing must be for the high frequency off shore units that ez-ly smoke out .I run Trace / Xantrex ,Outback,Schneider ,Morning star 300, and soon Midnight Special .
All low freq units that have a nice true sine , if they lead or lag power factor , it's a small tweak with a few caps on the offender . Florescent tubes that were shown in the video are more than noise , they are the worst at giving off bad rays .

Sloth, the bad news is that he's Canadian. Someplace in BC. Got no spam warnings, but clearly there is a bit of the stink of dead fish on the nose, eh?

Solar, off grid generators, appliances, tools, food, clothes, and the list goes on, you used to be able to tell if you were buying junk by looking at who manufactured it. Now it doesn't matter what the name tag tells you in most cases. Spare parts used to tell you were they were made, now they list 67 different countries and say made in one of the above or say assembled in country x with foreign and domestic parts. Thus the box may be the only USA part. Even the best quality solar equipment will have some or in most cases nearly all imported parts as except for some production for the military, almost no parts are made in the USA. I try to buy quality when I play with solar, but find that when I buy over time, the quality changes as the companies merge, are bought out, or management changes. That and the new higher efficiency units are many orders of magnitude more complex than the old units. While the old systems, basically a simple voltage reg as near as I can figure out, do not maximize battery life or panel efficiency, they were small, cheap, and I kept a couple spares. I don't do that with the Trace Xantrex I have now, but have a couple of the old ones in a makeshift faraday cage just in case. I for one am finding it hard to tell if the snake oil from genetically altered snakes is better than that of the old snake oil. I know that my new "american" washing machine is a piece of junk as is the last power tool I bought and they both have major brands on their id plates. Around here the mass retailers, Harbor Freight, Lowe's, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, etc have put most of the small retailers out of business and much of their product is junk. They have not only destroyed the local business owners, but in many cases the warehouses that supply them and the companies that used to sell to those middlemen. Only advice I take on solar is from fellow user's as the local solar companies are for the most part putting in large systems for towns, schools, etc or slapping them on roofs as quick as they can before the subsidies and finance money stops and the pig trough is empty.
