    Once upon a time disposing of dead bodies was a matter of cremating or burying them or dropping them over the side of a ship....a new, and environmentally friendly option might be to compost them.....

    I rather like the idea that what hasn't been harvested for organ donation, will be used to enrich the biosphere.

    Back in the day, we designed composting operations to reach 160 in the core of the pile. The idea is to kill pathogens without getting into spontaneous combustion temp ranges. In a couple cases, we had to specify pile stirring to assure both conditions were met.
