Riddle me this...who is the largest weapons dealer on earth? It's the freakin US Government. They have sold, given away (without background checks of course) and conveniently lost TRILLIONS of dollars of military weapons. It merely underscores that arms smuggling is a big business, and is a necessary border protection concern for all countries in this world.: not just the countries which have a significant Muslim refugee population. The reasoning behind putting that story on the forum remains a mystery to me. At the very least, it is known to be (very) old "news".
I like the idea of readily accessible concealable storage, but the decorations fronting the concealment, like The Gadsden Snake, The facsimile US Constitution, "We The People", and images of guns....fairly invites intruders to look behind the cover to find the guns. They are red flags that there are probably plenty of other guns secreted all over the place. Now, a far better option would be to conceal them behind a substantial portrait of Barak Obama, or Hillary Clinton. On the up side, intruders will probably conclude that you are a totally unarmed, liberal, Alinskyite, socialist, Democrat sheeple type person, in which case surprise may be on your side.....which may allow you to get the drop on the scumbag home invaders in a hurry.....on the downside; if the looting home invaders are conservative, republican, tea bagging, evangelists....you're screwed anyway, because they'll almost certainly already be armed (and probably armed better than most...and will know your concealment for what it is.
