I have too many pistols. I have 2 ea. Glock 19, 1 ea. Glock G43 and 1 ea. Kahr P9. All are 9mm. I purchased the small Glock G43 as a replacement for the Kahr as the wife could not rack the slide on the Kahr. I have been promising the wife that I would sell the Kahr but now I hesitate due to the election. I think it is obvious that when Queen Hillary is crowned there will be great changes in the owning and the manufacturing of firearms. The question that I am asking myself is, would one benefit best by selling now or waiting until these restrictions are imposed? Or, maybe after the restriction it will behoove one to never sell, simply keep the firearm or perhaps it won't matter either way... And, yes, I realize none of us can see the future (if you can then please let me know! ) but I would enjoy and value the forum's opinion.
I come from the never sell camp...unless it is a bad firearm. Things would change under hildabeast... at the minimum, I would wait and see what things look like around Nov 9th
At this point keep unless you are selling to finance something more critical to your survival. This includes other firearms, ammunition, firearm parts and anything likely to be banned such as body armor, helmets and unedited copies of the US Constitution/BoR. BTW, S&W M&P's have the easiest slides to rack of all the pistols that my wife and I looked at.
@3M-TA3 Yeah, I am really impressed with the S&W Shield line up. We went with the smaller Glock because I am a Glock guy and further believe in standardizing ammo, parts and knowledge on about everything to include firearms @Yard Dart No, it's a great gun. Served me well. I've just no use for it anymore as always carry the G19 with its bigger magazine. Sec, my damn safe is full! I wish I had purchased one that was twice as big! But, doubt my floor could handle it. LOL!
LOL!!!! I foresee a great multitude of boating accidents in the near future after Queen Hillary is crowned!
One=none, Two=one, and Three is just right!!! I don't sell any guns EVER, I keep loosing them in accidents!!! Seriously, I would hold on to what ever you have, and get what ever you can/need NOW! Regardless of the election outcome, you will probably find you are in actual need of every thing you all ready have, so why give your self a limp going forward? Unless you are desperate for Hard Currency, ( and I would find any and all means other then guns) to make ends meet!
No, I don't need the money. And, I also hate to sell any guns but I feel one needs to justify one's expenditures.. I got plenty of ammo but will definitely buy more the day she is elected...and another AR. I have considered sticking the Kahr in the ground somewhere enclosed in an 8 inch PVC pipe along with ammo, just as insurance...but that sounds so...strange to put it mildly. It only holds 7 rounds (IIRC) so not really much of a weapon in that scenario.
Remember the FP-45 Liberator - Wikipedia held only 1 round and was a supposed PIA to reload, but it had a purpose. Don't sneeze at 7 rounds, even if it did fall out of the boat and rested at the bottom of the swamp for a while.
A man with a gun and ONE bullet has changed history many times, and history continues to be made ONE bullet at a time! Never sneeze at what ONE bullet can do!!!
Hang on to it. Just this past weekend I thoroughly enjoyed a Ruger Security Six .357 revolver that I hadn't fired in 25 years. Glad I didn't get rid of it.
Any guns you've got now will become more valuable as time marches on . If Trump does what he promises gun sales may just naturally taper off. The threat of this current administration is why gun sales has thrived in this depressed economic atmosphere.
I am 100% certain that, even if everything goes right, and he is what he says, that it will be no more than 4 years before we are right back in the same boat. If gun sales taper off at all it sure won't be for long. We are not going to ever get better, even if we do take a short break.
