It started off with 1. gave it away to a Kids Code Camp. Then bought another one. then another. and then some more. I can stop at any time.
Raspberry Pi's are basically single card computers that draw less than 4 watts. The one in the large transparent box (large well 3.5x2.5 inches) I've used as a bitcoin miner host, a TOR router, a web browser and a few electronic projects. the PI zeros draw less than a watt and can drive my television HDMI and act as a media center. OS and Videos stored on micro SD card. (2.5x1.25 inches and less than .25 inch thick.) Thinking about using one of the zeros to operate a small motor to open my chicken coop doors when the sun comes up and close it when the sun goes down. Might make one a Minecraft server for the kids and drop it on the network. Heck these can even be set up to run on a AA battery and still do what you want them to. How about a surveillance camera on your network?
Raspberry Pi Zero - Version 1.3 ID: 2885 - $5.00 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits I ordered mine from Newark.com / element 14 a long time ago and it took months for them to fill the order. Yep, the song "Anticipation" was stuck in my head.
You geek freak enabler you! I had a quick look at an Australian Raspberry Pi site.....although it is an Australian site, I'll include the link Raspberry Pi Australia | Raspberry Pi Australia as the site gives a pictorial catalogue of the different R Pi bits 'n' bobs, which may give you guys a better idea of what the system offers....I suspect that there may be some R Pi stuff under my grandkid's christmas tree. Edit: Oh my goodness....the site seems to include a number of youtube clips demonstrating some of the various products....worth further investigation!
You have just now been assimilated by the PiBorg. Please send me a 2002 2 ounce silver aussie horse coin.
I'll send you a pre decimal thrupenny bit piece, via RH. I have her address at Sadlak. Edit: Upon re-reading what I had typed, the non-cockney rhyming slang would be more seemly and respectful, so I edited it slightly. I wouldn't like to cause offence or ribald commentary. Most pre decimal silver currency, (depending on the vagaries of the silver market) had a higher value than the face value of the coinage.
Have it on my "to buy" list next payday.. I have a couple things in mind that one of those would be just the thing for.. And would have the winter to get to know it, and learn some coding?....
