ATTACK PLAN SUSPECTED ON HAARP FACILITY

Two men in Georgia have been charged with plotting an attack on the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project in Alaska, a facility of great interest to the amateur community. Authorities released news of the arrests as Newsline went to production. An arsenal of weapons was also recovered that police believe were to be used in the planned attack. The plot was discovered during an investigation of reports that one of the suspects was engaged in selling drugs. Marmian Grimes, a representative of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, told the Alaska Dispatch that the research facility has faced threats before and was grateful Georgia authorities were alert. The authorities said the pair had told them they were acting on directions from God.

Heh. That pair of loons would face some, ah, obstacles getting their arsenal that far off the beaten track with winter coming along. (Not to mention crossing the Canadian border to get to AK, unless they have a boat.) All that said, there's apt to be more than two ---

One must think the loons think that HAARP has a nefarious raison d'etre and needs to be destroyed before it scrambles every brain that isn't sequestered on Soros' estate.

Why is it people think Haarp is something evil? Just because it's a Secret Gov Research program, people get out the tin foil and try to come up with all sorts of things! Same with " Chem Trails" Come On Folks, nothing to see here, just our frendly Gov looking out for it's loyal citizens! Sarcasm Warning!

Not secret, not dot gov now, and there's doubt about how secret it ever was.

The wife and I drove up there years ago when Phillips was running it for the Navy. Went anywhere we wanted, the gey that was our guide (a ham, eh>) opened any door we wanted - took pics of everything. Got Uncle Wayne to publish the story in 73 magazine - back when he actually paid for using copyrighted materiel.....

    Science? Maybe

Pork for Interior Alaska - hell YES.

And I just found that I am quoted in the Wiki entry for HAARP. How funny is that?

(my name and ham radio callsign), "Secret Death Ray: Or is HAARP a useful science tool?" (PDF), 73 Magazine, 73 Magazine (December 1999): 14–17, 37, retrieved 21 December 2011 A first person account from an amateur radio operator who got a full tour of the HAARP site.

Oh, I believe that these two Yahoos were up to "No Good" and HAARP is as good as any other TinFoil Hat Conspiracy to be thought needs to be attacked.... The Creditability of that attack, would seem to be very LOW, for the reasons, Ghrit laid out.... But that is how Crazy Yahoos think.... and the FEDs could take them down without spending a lot of effort, and claim a Cheap Win...

Indeed. Although that may be so, I suspect that it won't be much of a deterrent to hardcore TFH nutters. It would probably only tend to reinforce the notion that the government has something dastardly to hide that must be revealed (and / or destroyed), for the sake of humanity and the world!
