Some of the best gifts I have received have been homemade gifts and I usually start early so that I can have them completed by mid December. Here is a clever, in expensive basket for putting baked goods in. Where I get short is gift ideas for men Anyone have any hand made gift ideas for men?
Something I like to do is Carve Rocks into fun shapes and such for guys, and using 550 cord, I make necklaces and wrist bands! Each is carved using a Dremel type Moto Tool and diamond bits! After these are carved, I ether tumble them, or polish them using diamond paper and a high speed grinder ( thing polishing marble counter top edges) The initial investment is kind of high, but once you have the stuff, it rarely needs replaced, and can be used for ton's of other uses! For my Pipe smoking friends, I hand carve custom Brier pipes and usually include Sterling Silver cast and fitted accents! If interested I can see about posting pictures!
Ganado, heck I like cookies and food stuffs just fine! Not homemade, but inexpensive, I appreciate things like, batteries, pens, gun cleaning products. That kind of thing! Remember, cookies gleefully accepted!!!
Homemade Kahlua (not from instant coffee) Ingredients: 1 cup brewed espresso (I used this method with a full filter) 2 cups coconut sugar or organic cane sugar 2-1/2 cups water 750ml bottle of vodka 3 Tablespoons vanilla extract Directions: Mix espresso, sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a simmer, then remove from heat. Add vodka and vanilla, then portion out into bottles or jars. Let sit for 4-6 weeks so flavors will meld*.
