This is running on HBO. It shows both sides of what finishing the fence will or will not accomplish

Meh. More interested in the season premier of The Grand Tour (Amazon Prime).
Of course, it's freely available on deh interwebs, too --if you know how to find it.

If we let the Mexicans build it it might end up like the American Embassy we had Russia build for us. Great plan.
If we put all the taco trucks end to end I think we'd have it. Point the window on our side so we can still get that delicious/cheap food of course. [afro]

As long as our border is secure and our territory is under our control I don't care if there is a wall or not. We could start by taking those A10 Warthogs out of mothballs and taking back the portions of Arizona and New Mexico that are under Cartel control.

    Yeah me too.
The Grand Tour is BBC Top Gear, minus the BBC.
BBC was the only thing holding the show back.

Have no fear on those A-10's brother, They are still around even after Obummer "puled" them from service! It seams the Chief of Staff of the Air Force doesn't like some skinny P.O.S. POTUS telling him how to run HIS Air Force!!! Those Beautiful A-10's are sitting pretty down there in the warm Arizona Desert getting a tan and Upgrades ( Hogging Up 4.0) at OnMark as we speak. We will be seeing them back in action soon enough! And the "orders" to faze out the F-15's were given the finger as well!

We could use landmines instead of a fence.

I would like to watch this but I do not have HBO and will never pay for it. I find the 11 page lesson guide quite interesting, this question in particular:

    http://www.hbo.com/assets/pdf/documentaries/the-fence/The Fence Lesson Guide.pdf

Thought provoking. I do wonder why it is such and issue while in other countries it is not. Thirty three minutes of film and 11 pages of things to think about. I think I am going to print this off, it is a good family exercise.

It's actually very simple. Most of what you see is created by very greedy and powerful globalists, who don't give a rats ass about the safety of peasants. The concept was drawn up decades ago, and it includes merging the U.S. with Canada and Mexico. They don't care how many have to die to do this, they couldn't care less about economies and jobs, either. They know it will balance out eventually, and the more despotic it gets, the more draconian they may make the state. It's always a win-win for them. Plus, by making the living situation so detestable in Mexico (and advertising heavily and promoting immigration) --the people do the work for them. It's not just Mexico, either. Much of the Americas are on board, sending as many fighters as possible to wage war against the whites. Take some time to read up on MS-13 for a while. Pretty scary stuff. The goal is to bring the U.S. economy down closer to a level of Mexico (and that's pretty bad) and raise them back up slowly, together. Then, bring Canada into the fold as time allows.

We will see all kinds of ideas sprouting, from heavy Liberal policymaking and bringing illegals over by bus, to encouraging rape, murder, and kidnapping by not punishing those caught (and just release them so they can do it again and again). This also empowers the left and creates even more racial divide amidst the citizenry. The more they are pitted against each other, the less they focus on the government mafia. This leads us to drug cartels and weapon running (courtesy of our very own CIA/AFT/FBI) --nothing beats selling guns you confiscated off Americans to Mexicans who then use them to kill Americans. Also, by criminalizing Americans heavily due to the drug industry, you create a dependent class of citizenry who dare not resist and fight tyranny, or else they violate parole and go back to the slammer. They have created a very, very sick society and there's no way to "fix" it without utterly destroying it.

Since I am dreaming about burning Washington D.C. to the ground, I might as well fantasize further with the wall idea. How best to do it?
A wall would essentially divide Mexico from the U.S. (obviously) and provide the capability to guard the border effectively. But, it will also require a proper police force, which should be entirely civilian (volunteer) while being shepherded by a responsible government agency (which we also do not have) and openly checked by local civilians for bribery and corruption on a regular basis. The ground will have to be secured to deny tunnel access in the area, not too difficult but it will be time consuming. Finally, we will have to cut off the support to Mexico (guns, drug cartel aide) and no longer assist the federal mafia at drug running or gun running for profit. This illegal immigration is an act of war even though it's never been officially described as such.

But, that's just a dream, like most of what Americans have been told lately.
We'll see you in another decade (maybe) if we're all not speaking Mandarin, Spanish, or Russian.

The only thing that bothers me about a wall is that, as we learned in Europe in the 50's, a border tight enough to keep everyone out is also tight enough for the government to keep everyone in.

We have a wall along long sections of the border and it doesn't work. I'll I gal immigration has not decreased. Drug smuggling has not decreased.

The other great point made in the movie is that of the 29 acts of terrorism in the USA in the last few years. 4 of them were people born and raised in the USA and 25 came in thru east coast airports. .... not a single terrorist came in from south of the border or an airport on the west coast.

I found that data very surprising. Most came too New York with Miami a close second for terrorist arrivals

We have a WALL, Yes... But we have Little or NO Enforcement along that Wall or fence.... Deploy the US Army down there as a Training Mission, with Rules of Engagement, that say "Fire, if fired Upon" and "Detain ANYONE Crossing, who is NOT a US Citizen, or Send them Back"....

Frankly, I see no reason to detain them. Give 'em a swift kick in the sittin' spot, spray them with florescent dye and explain that the dye is used for making targets stand out, and now they are one.

Data is irrelevant when the media is just as corrupt as the government. Data is irrelevant when the borders are wide open and offers a clear means to enter, unopposed. Data means nothing when the "terrorists" are cleared for entry after being on an FBI watch list for years. Data means nothing when the terrorists are mainly trained, funded, and protected by the corrupt oligarchy.

But, I am certain the data will show how many rapes, kidnappings, civilian and police murders, and sex trafficking there is, or how much illegal drugs are smuggled across the border. Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps when Bill Clinton is on his death bed he will have a change of heart and reveal his secrets on Mena.

Because we have a government which doesn't work.

If a wall is not the answer why is Mexico considering it and Spain and France and the UK are doing it.

A wall alone is not the answer in the USA but a patrolled wall by human assets and electronic systems will stem the tide and should get things under control.

The reasons are the same stop ILLEGAL immigration and smuggling.

The Melilla border fence forms part of the Morocco–Spain border in the area of Melilla. Constructed by Spain, its stated purpose is to stop illegal immigration and smuggling.

Insurgents wearing a suicide vest won't even dare mess with a 30+ year old Russian mine field.
    Mine fields work.
And I say no S-mines, toe nippers only that way the coyotes and/or ants finish them off.

We have terrorists coming across the border all the time, they are called "the drug cartel".
Although the motivation of an Islamic terrorist and a drug cartel goon are totally different their methods of achieving their ultimate goal are almost indistinguishable from each other.
    But they're not terrorists.
Because if they were labeled terrorists we might actually do something about them.

Well the topography for one thing. Can't build a wall everywhere without messing up the flow of the Rivers. That makes for a vulnerable spot. There are some very mountianous regions along the border, And that makes for expensive building to keep out zero terrorists.

If you watch the movie, 1) there are several thousand miles of fence already built, 2) the coyote's just dig under the fence in the AM and smuggle them thru at nite. 3) Current wall has not slowed down illegal immigration.
