I think I am good on Bacon and Sausage for a little while :)

Ended up with 164 in the unexpected farrowing and now my regular sows that are meant to farrow will start next week and they all drop big litters of 12-14 so potentially another 84 could arrive LOL. Two of the new moms with their 4 and 5 week olds.

 

The *ssholes and lips are something more of a challenge.....Google wasn't much help with "appropriate" recipes.

 

We do a lot of things here but going without pork ain't one of them

 

Ahhh search Pork Bung instead of *sshole and you will find recipes

 

Maybe that Calamari is not really calamari hehe

Cute little piglets. Do you ever sell piglets instead of raising them yourself?

 

I started dabbling in selling weans last spring, after a lot of folks expressed a interest in raising their own to finish. That and I needed a way to offset the feed cost for 150 I do finish.

 

My Mom raised a few pigs and so did my Uncle. They really enjoyed it and it is amazing how fast they grow. My Uncles pigs were sort of free range with an 8 acre fenced in wooded area. They grew up to be really healthy.

 

When it comes to good food, there just not a whole lot I don't produce, make or bake Not only how I earn my living but I like to eat good Even make my own box traps and a couple dozen each year to sell.
