I opened the site without logging on first and I noticed the freedom and liberty forum was "Private" has this always been private or has something happened to warant a change?? mods?
We want to encourage new members and participation. Additional forums are a benefit of joining in lieu of lurking.
You know what got me to join instead of lurking? I couldn't see Monkeymans butchering pics, or any pics for that matter, and that just ticked me right off! Glad I joined
Yep, a few are marked private. First of all, it makes it so Google and Yahoo don't crawl these posts and index them. It also encourages membership. We have a few other membership driving tools in place as well. The more people have to log in to view things, the more likely they are to contribute to the discussion. I like fresh perspectives.
That's what got me hooked, started "lurking" around saw some real good post and then some area's I couldn't see. And since I didn't have to give up my first born to join I figured what the hey. Problem I have is not enough time to surf, I'm still reading through old post just to catch up. Plus the kids are active so I'm always on the go.
