CNN?! Now if there ever was an "alt-news" (which I am still waiting to have defined by the fools that attack "alt-news") CNN would be it! "Alt" as in "alternate universe rather than the real one INTELLIGENT/non-lib-tard people live in". When has the Communist Nutz Network EVER told the truth? Or SeeBS (Bland Blather invents a story about Bush), or NBC (exploding gas tanks), MSNBC ("You have not died and gone to hell"), etc., etc. Like I keep telling people, go get Walter Cronkite's bio and see where he admits the news was all made up!

So the answer to your question, "has the media ever been honest?" The answer is no. Except for some "alt-news" that is non-lib-tard controlled.

Short answer? No. Rich and powerful people have always owned and used the mass media to spin things their direction.

The media have always pushed an agenda, but only so far as the citizens would accept and at the level of cleverness required by the education level of its target audience. They are a mixture of true believers who think they are doing the greater good to those who take the money and perks in exchange for doing as told. Neither should be trusted and that is why the media is withering even on the vine of Bloomberg and Soros. If they did their job then "alt-news" would not have gotten an audience.

I'm selective about what I believe from the news...I believe there are hurricanes and earthquakes and the like, and that's about it. BBC tends to have decent reporting.

My 88 year old Mother did not know like most back then that Roosevelt could not walk from a bout with Polio until after he died.

It did not really matter but the gov did and it may have been an early example of the news media cooperating in creating a false narrative.

At some point you have to wonder how people could let it get this bad. Is it human nature to want to dominate the rest of humanity or is it just insanity? This monetary religion we all follow seems to be what enforces and encourages the insanity of the one percent and perpetuates the rest of humanity in obliviousness to do their bidding.

This nation has been lead to war more than once by the news beating the drum and waving the flag and frankly the news now seems much like the 'Yellow news' of old, not much different.

Ignorance is bliss! This is the media's M.O.S. for all things that can be used, or generated for a purposes! Money, Power, War, pretty much any of man kinds lusts as the root of false truths!

Interesting in light of that idiot Donnie has as a press officer. Talking about alternate truths. Whacky, eh?

Honestly I have no idea if I can or will believe any thing that comes from the White House past or present! As far as the media goes, I take every thing as here say and try as best I can to determine any truth, if it even matters to me to take the time and trouble to seek! I do miss the old days, sitting in the kitchen as a kid, Listening to the old am radio to the Paul Harvey show, news was slow and measured, if it was fact or was assumed didn't really mater, the topics were interesting enough to have merit for discussion over bacon, eggs, dry toast and really strong Navy spec coffee. Simple times, and the innocence of youth!
