This is an air- pump that is made to sit (screws on actually) on an 'office cooler' style water container.

This is stupid simple to use. Push down, air goes into bottle, water comes out spout.

Box comes with several feed tubes to use pump with 3, 4 or 5 gallon bottles.
My wife uses this at work - bottle sits on floor, push pump- get water. Since we are in a seismic Zone of 5, the bottle stays on the floor.

The one at home is used with our backup water. We chose to store water in 3 and 5 gallon jugs with handle. This setup - when needed - sits on the kitchen floor.

After 3 years of nearly daily use, the one at my DW office is still working just fine. I've never had an issue with the one at home - even with infrequent use.

Price - @ WallyWorld is $11.42. A clever bit of kit that just works and keeps working as it is supposed to -- all at an excellent price point. I do not recommend using the handle to move anything but the empty (or almost empty) jug. I'm not sure how well the screw-on cap would work with lifting a 40# bottle... (Shrug) So I don't do that.

We used to use (and still have) one the Alliance 5 gallon square water totes. And those work - but tote will have to sit on the counter to be used. I'd rather have the counter space. YMMV.

(Not for contest. I was looking at my posts for the last year and thought it was well-past time for me to contribute something worthwhile for board members/ visitors)

This is the coolest thing. I didn't know that they made such a thing. This is perfect for my water storage bottles.

I actually hear that a lot.

I've been sharing as much as I can. It really is a neat bit of kit.

Yes, we use these on the 'whatever is sold by Home Deport this week" jugs. At school, the DW uses them on whatever the bottle guy delivers.

Haring said that - DO NOT use the pump to pick up the bottle - it is a pump, not a handle.

We went with the pump/jug to save counter space. While I have 6 gal "Igloo" brand water totes, for use in the house, the pump is the source. Just so handy for filling the teapot etc.

We carry water in the RV in a 3 gal jug and then pump it out. The in-van water is used for hand washing etc.-
The smaller jug is no problem, the pickup can be long or short....

Some brands of water bottles may require removal of the inner washer. I've never had to do this with the bottles from HD, Fred Meyers, Wallworld or the local water cooler place.

Just in case - here is this

Thank you, that is what I needed. I want to buy the Walmart bottles but figured there could be an issue. Primo is in business to sell their water and products. I know that the Primo dispensers need Primo bottled water.

Great hack if you have those kinds of water jugs. But those jugs are not preferable for long term water storage.

I bought the Primo pump and some jugs. Thank goodness we try stuff to make sure things work. Primo pumps work on Primo jugs. I bought the Primo pump because I liked the design but bought some AmericanMaid jugs because those are Walmart brand and were cheaper. The pump will not work, does not fit on the jug. I will be getting a universal pump

    primo. jug.

I bought these 3 gallon jugs because they are supposed to be stackable. Hoping they stack well without leaking

We will probably pick up one for test and 2 more later on if they work... we have issues with some of the thin walled "Milk Jug" type distilled water containers leaking... fill an empty container with distilled water and you won't have that issue should be nice to fill those CPAP resivoirs, batteries, irons, and humidifiers out there as well as standard prep use....

I have had issues with those milk jug type water containers leaking. I figured these jugs would be good for camping and with the dispenser it would be easier, less waste. Walmart has the AmericanMaid dispenser that you can fill the jugs with water. This is all part of my water storage plan for apartment living. My neighbor gets water delivered in 5 gallon jugs, a dozen every few weeks but they have to pay equipment rental and delivery charges. I am focusing on buying and owning for long-term.

We just bought a water jug storage rack to hold our 'spare' jugs.

the rack is a 2x2 (2 tall and 2 wide, it keeps the jugs up off the (very cold) cement floor in the garage.

I've strapped the rack to the wall like we did for the water heater. We only keep 7 full jugs on hand these days.

Another solution is the Water Cube.

3.5 gallon (28 lb per container)

the stack above is would be 28 gallon or 224 lb - about the limit should go in a closet or other - if the floor isn't a slab-on-grade floor.

Just a quick follow up note from the original 2017 post

we still use the two pumps here a the Casa de Bellyacres - still work the treat. IOW, maybe be plastic, but there have worked well over that last 4 years.

    YMMV of course.
