    You mean there are Monkeys using IE?

    Friends don't let friends use IE.

    What about Microsoft Edge? I just started using it with a new install of Windows 10.

    You will learn to hate that. It tells the world what you are doing.

    Well, I must admit the relationship is on the rocks. Seems like the simplest things just got harder and can't see much in the way of improve so far...

    @Bandit99 -
    I followed a set of directions given to me by a couple knowledgeable monkeys and other gurus that saw to it I could not screw up too badly to get rid of or minimize the intrusiveness of W10 that came installed on my laptop. If I could properly recite them for you, I would. I know the guys that helped me are (or are going to read) this, and I hope they give you the same guidance if you need it. Additionally, there are some articles on line that give a lot of details.

    Three more items.
    -Do NOT buy Office 2016. The "enhancements" truly add confusion to the operations. (If you can find Office 2010, get it, or go with Open Office.)
    -Do get Firefox. "They say" that Chrome is a great browser, but it is too closely associated with Google for my comfort.
    -You may like the idea of the cloud. I don't, it strikes me as high risk.

    I decided early on that putting things in "the cloud" meant sharing them with anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together and enough curiosity to want to see them.

    33 years and fewer problems with Apple OS than I had in 6 months using Windoze...

    Mozilla has even invested in Cliqz and also has an addon for search that anybody can add to Firefox.
    Mozilla Makes Strategic Investment in Cliqz to Enable Privacy-Focused Search Innovation
    It looks to be a nice enterprise, if the Cliqz company can retain control and update as needed. If they end up selling out to anybody other than Mozilla, all bets are off. So far, things are well for them in Deutschland. Looks promising.
