Got through the second and worst blizzard this winter. Yuck no fun! Very hard to feed horses with wind gusts of 70 km ph. Hay flying everywhere except in the pasture! Now time to make paths. Just spend half hour cleaning up the deck. Lol. Winter exercise.
Yeah, my mom was born on a homestead, near Moose Jaw, in Saskatchewan. She never forgot the wind and the blizzards! You have fun now, and be safe!
I've driven Saskatchewan in the winer the only place i know that you drive in the center of the road and as you approach the oncoming car , head on, you slowly move to your side of the road , pass one another , return to the center of the road and continue.
Using the Seskatchewan blizzard...an individual local event, relative to the globe to pooh pooh the global warming hypothesis, doesn't negate the inference that the trend of global warming is edging upwards...local conditions may vary somewhat from year to year, but it's the global trend that actually matters. Although the data looks at winter 2014-2015, you'll note that where there is a marked local lower than average temp record for NE USA and Eastern Canada, which may have many Americans, the global trend none the less is 1-2 degrees Celsius (or more) above average.
They like to say every winter is the warmest on record. I call that moving in the right direction. Who the hell wishes for a cold winter any ways?
