El Presidente's TRumpcare Bill falls over because Congressional Republican leaders decline to submit it to a vote....but Trump blames the Democrats for his failure anyway. Interesting, considering that as the Republican majority controls the Congress and Senate...Democrat support shouldn't have been necessary to ram the Bill through.

If it was never intended to pass....why is the Strumpet whinging like he's been bitch slapped? The Republicans must really love Obamacare if they aren't prepared to risk the humiliation of losing a vote on Strumpetcare.....o_O

[IMG]Well, that's one promise he seems to be keeping....

It's one of those secret bills "you can find out what you voted on after you vote" which I am totally against no matter what party brings them to the floor.

The Donald is quickly learning that House Speaker Ryan is his "Brutus," and Senate Majority Leader McConnell is his "Casca," when one speaks metaphorically about politics.

Donnie has now learned (we hope) that political bodies do not respond like employees; you cannot order something to happen and it does. Many, including me, predicted that the lesson would be taught rather early in his tenure. It will be interesting to see how many times the lesson has to be repeated.

The bill would more properly be called
Ryancare, as he is the author (well, him and all the Special Interest types that piled on)

I do hope that Ryan - who is as genuine a POS as has filled the office in generations, is primary-ied out this coming election cycle.

Ryan is worse than a RINO - he is a complete back-stabbing sellout to the Corporations who wish to shove their snouts into the feed trough of the National budget. #NotmySpeaker

Trump's only blame in all this is for not having the bill reviewed independently. For that, he has failed as a leader and shown what a rookie politician he is in real life.

As DKR stated, Trumps mistake was counting on Ryan -he's a POS and the primary reason all Republicans didn't stand together.
The Liberal scumbags are an easy lot to understand.
Despite how this turned out, it was a tactically wise decision to push for this legislation. Now the world knows the Liberals completely own Obamacare, and it will fail --Socialism always fails.

Don isn't a dummy; he went into this knowing he would come out winning no matter what. It's his way, after all.

    It's a Win/Win for Democrats...

Yes, Obama Care is a disaster and will implode, but it will be allowed to implode with Republicans in control of the House, Senate and White House. The Dems will go down in history of establishing the most wasteful, disruptive and economically destructive piece of legislation in modern history but, Republicans will carry the chains of ineptitude in that they were unable to stave off the catastrophe which that legislation made possible.

It's all bs any way you look at it.

Paying for health care insurance is stupid. Look at all of the corruption and graft in the insurance community.

Paying for health care is the only way to go. Gov. has no place in this.

I think a major point is that the Republican held Congress has been handed a big bag of poop labeled ObamaCare and they are trying to figure how to rid themselves of it without getting stinky fingers. Regardless of my personal feelings, I do recognize that it's a HUGE complex problem and I'm not sure if there is any sane method to do it. I mean, there are millions of Americans on ObamaCare now and remember they were not given a choice but were directed by law to do so. America's Health Care is a piece of archaic crap due to neglect by gutless politicians and profiteering corporations and associations. I won't rant on about this but I think what we are seeing is a lack of decisive direction on how to go about it. President Trump wants to move forward - now - while others want a complete solution. It's a mess. But, @Brokor and @DKR get my vote because Ryan is a two-face POS and hard to believe he still is Speaker of the House (I guarantee he will run for president some day). One thing is certain, America needs Health Care reform and they damn well need to get their finger out and come together to do it.

Wasnt Ryan the most outspoken about 'supporting the party line' when Trump was in the primary? Now he (Ryan) doesnt support the party line? A hypocrite is our friend Ryan

It was not a good piece of legislation anyway. It was designed to reach into your bank account and take what they needed for health care.

And that's why the point has been made (and very clearly) by pulling the bill. Obamacare will "explode" as Trump stated repeatedly. He also said they did their best and will not give up. The Democrats clearly expressed how it's more important to give coverage to every human being in America, including illegals, than it is to balance the budget and actually use common sense. From this point on, the Liberals own obamacare --not the Republican Party. The fact that it's mandatory and enforced by the privately owned IRS never really became a focal point, which says everything I need to know.

The people are spectators in a very well orchestrated entertainment production. Granted, some people on each side are adamantly involved, but this doesn't change the scope of the operation or its results.

I would really like to see the return of a time when my doctor comes to me and I pay him/her with a couple dozen eggs, some bacon, smoked salmon or venison.

in all honesty a better system would be to pay your doctor a monthly stipend, and when you are sick you dont pay him. Gives him/her incentive to keep you healthy.

    A new bill should read

The Affordable Care Act is repealed in its entirety effective 1 Jan 2018. All existing rules, regulations and related legislation is null and void as of that date.

Simple. Get the Govt out of healthcare......

How much do you pay per month for your healthcare per month down under @chelloveck?
I'm gonna take a guess and bet it's not hundreds of dollars per person in your home.

I pay $0 per year....have paid on a PAYE (pay as you earn) basis over my working lifetime a relatively small proportion of my salary....I did have private health insurance for some 25 years until my children were self supporting to cover optional expenses above and beyond basic Medicare coverage. I have provided elsewhere here in SM details of the Australian Medicare health coverage system....or simply google the information.

Have been admitted to hospital on several occasions, including microsurgery on a couple of fingers badly hacked by a lawnmower blade...which cost me $0 in medical expenses....but never fear...conservative politicians are keen to replicate the cucked up medical system that presently exists in the USA.
