This man has no clue. The 2nd Amendment has absolutely NOTHING to do with hunting. http://www3.whdh.com/news/articles/national/BO42897

Giuliani says gun control helped reduce N.Y. crime

SACRAMENTO -- Rudy Giuliani addressed a potentially troublesome issue with conservative voters, saying his policies as mayor to get handguns off the street helped reduce crime in New York.
"I used gun control as mayor," he said at a news conference Saturday during a swing through California. But "I understand the Second Amendment. I understand the right to bear arms."
He said what he did as mayor would have no effect on hunting.
Addressing another potential trouble spot with conservatives, Giuliani spoke in favor of a border fence, saying, "You have to have secure borders, you have to have a fence, and the fence I think has to be a highly technological one."
The nation needs to know, he said, who is coming into the country and why. But he provided scant details on how he would deal with illegal immigrants already in the country. Citizens, he added, should be able to read and write English.
Giuliani was to make an address Monday in Silicon Valley and he was to appear Tuesday at an agricultural fair in the Central Valley.
Asked when he would make a formal announcement that he is a candidate for the Republican nomination, Giuliani said: "Well, formally announce? I don't know."
He then alluded to making an announcement in multiple locations "so we get more attention" but provided no details.

All gun owners should pass written test

I do not think the government should cut off the right to bear arms. My position for many years has been that just as a motorist must have a license, a gun owner should be required to have one as well. Anyone wanting to own a gun should have to pass a written exam that shows that they know how to use a gun, that they’re intelligent enough and responsible enough to handle a gun. Should both handgun and rifle owners be licensed...we’re talking about all dangerous weapons.

He said he understood it, not agreed with it. Important Political Loophole Talk. The politicos can yammer all day long and never say a word.

    Agreed.

What he NEEDS to understand is that his agreement is totally irrelevant, it's the supreme law of the land and he has to live by it.

    God I hate politicians.

Since when did the Second Amendment have anything to do with hunting??? It says the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

Ok, so if we take him at his word then based on the first 2 quotes from hime there he knew the 2nd amendment and understood 'SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED' and then went ahead and implemented gun controle. So he then would be in willful defiance of the constitution and useing a position of political power to do so. Last I knew that was called TREASON...you know, the one crime mentioned in the constitution with a penalty up to death.

Somehow to put those 2 statments together would not seem like a good idea to me.

Hmmmm. Well, I feel certain that only the criminals' 2nd ammendment rights were infringed upon. :censored: I mean, surely a politician wouldn't do such a thing. He understands the ammendment. Oh, and hunting's still ok, too. It obviously doesn't fall under the 2nd ammendment therefore not affected.
