I don't have television. I live in rural Northern Idaho but it is not because I can't get satellite television it's just that I refuse to play their game and purchase all the crap so that I can see a few programs that I think are worth viewing. And, don't get me started about their contracts... Anyway, it is my choice. I have thought about putting up a antenna to get the Free To Air (FTA) channels but after looking at the line up which has programs that were old when I was a kid...well, why bother. So, I get my news via the internet. I am a big reader, and I rent/buy DVDs, go movies, or etc... But, I really only like a few things so I got thinking...maybe there are more good programs that I am missing. Here are the few programs I watch:
    1. Vikings
    2. Walking Dead
    3. Game of Thrones
    4. The Last Kingdom (this is still sort of in the trial period as I watched the first season which was okay but the books were, and continue to be, excellent. The lead actor is much too pretty to play the role but, as stated, the books were excellent so script and story are solid.

That's it... So, what are the top 5 programs you watch?
(Note: I am actually curious about this because I am betting there is a common thread between most of us here that goes deeper than we think.)

I do not have cable anymore so I watch shows on Amazon, Hulu or Netflix. Some of the recent TV series I have watched and enjoyed are:
    1. Z Nation
    2. Defiance
    3. Revolution
    4. Superstore ( I find this show hysterical)
    5. Broad City (very contemporary)

YARD DART, I guess we could of said which TV shows do you put away to watch after TSHTF to try to retain some sense of comfort and distraction. Of course I have to check them out first to see if they are appropriate. Some of my favorites, Antiques Roadshow, How it is made, NCIS, Las Vegas Pawn Shop, old westerns.

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

I watch a pretty motley collection of shows, including Lucifer and The Vikings..

I used to have Hulu and Netflix but ditched them both when I got Kodi.

Kodi is a free app you can download to computers or to televisions if you have something like Kindle Fire.

It gives you an astonishing choice of movies and TV shows, new and old. Literally thousands.

I've watched recent movies such as The Accountant and John Wick 2 for free. Also the Brad Pitt movie Fury, which is one I missed from 2014. Also Oblivion, Logan, Kong: Skull Island, Lucy, Limitless, and Hateful Eight.

There is a truely vast selection.

I even ran across a cute little movie called The Brass Teapot, which I highly recommend.

I have (so far) managed to pass on all the Sharknado movies and the thirty or so ridiculous spinoffs like Zombie Shark vs. CyberOctupus. (Sigh. Be warned.)

If anybody out there wants to make a few million off of investors with a totally unwatchable shark movie, call me. I have a script called "The Dead Shark That Ate Chicago." Don't anticipate a high gross, however, even though the script is pretty gross all by itself.

Wentworth, Australia version of Orange is the New Black. Wentworth is so much better IMO. I watch it through Netflix streaming.
    Andy Griffith
    America's Test Kitchen
    Antiques Road Show
    Shark Tank
Hmmm, We are on free tv through antenna so the choices are limited. Savings of about $100 per month so definitely worth it.

Ummm, Kodi...I'm not exactly sure. I couldn't get Kindle Fire to show any signs of life until I got my son to get it working.
Then he downloaded Kodi, which is now available through the Manage Your Apps menu.
