About 15 years ago I was a gunsmith. The owner sold the shop. My wife and I realized we were kinda disgruntled with society and humanity in general, so we moved out to the grasslands. We've been trying to figure out this survival thing ever since. We've had about 15 years of failures behind us, and we're still here, grinning... But things just seem getting tighter and the dollar doesn't stretch as far as it used to, so I'm here to learn, re-learn, and maybe share.
Glad you came aboard, welcome. With your background, you'll be adding experience. We LIKE that in a member.
Welcome Aboard! Feel free to ask away, we all had to learn this some how, and some did it before the interwebs! Take as much as you can, and maybe leave a little along the way! Your all ready well on your way to this life style of your choosing, so have at it!
Hello @Hermitscribe and your partner in life. SM's a place where useful information is shared....and "interesting" opinions are freely offered, and sometimes sensibly discussed. Commentary about the care, maintenance and enhancement of firearms is almost guaranteed an attentive audience. There's something for everyone here, and I'm confident in suggesting that there are many women here who would like another active addition to their number...no pressure: dipping her toes in the Tin Foil Hat Loungeor https://www.survivalmonkey.com/forums/the-inferno.30/ forums might provide the kind of confidence that would be an asset in the engaging in the Recipes or The Green Patch forums. I Look forward to reading both your contributions to the monkey tree audience.
YUP, a most gracious welcome to you and yours. Pull up a stool and join in anytime. Shoutbox almost always have talkative folks willing to jaw awhile about most anything.
I like to put a positive spin on things so I would say you have had lessons instead of failures. I have had many "lessons" myself, always left mumbling, I won't be doing that again. Welcome to the Monkey @Hermitscribe glad to have you here.
Yes indeed....but Hermit has a wife, whom I was encouraging to also become an active member....in my own inimitable way.
