    anyone have a clue if our government cyber infrastructure which is responsible for this screw up is doing anything of a positive to catch, kill, maim or cripple these a holes

    the ransomware X 2 seems to only affect windows right now

    linux is normally immune to windows ransomware :) however it can be hit by linux ransomware

    I heard that Windows that have not been updated lately, are most likely to be affected.

    If a linux box were hit with ransom ware would a disc wipe and reinstall fix it or does it crawl into nooks and crannies like a windows computer?

    My OSX OS is backed up every hour, to both TimeMachine, a Backup spinning Hard Drive, and two separate Individual SSDs that only get mounted for this backup, and then get released, and Powered Down, until the Next Backup.... The OS is NEVER more than One Hour out of date, so even IF, and that is a VERY BIG IF, someone were to pull off such a stunt on my System, I can Boot off either, the Backup Spinning HD, or one of the two SSDs, and Reload the Main Fusion Drive, in about an hour....

    Thanks Sec. Yeah, I'm backed up over and over again on multiple forms of media and off system drives. Second thing I learned the hard way from the spawn of gates. The first thing being windows was the SPAWN OF GATES.

    if the rumors this is based on ..leaks stuff are true, this ransomware can probably get into any version of windows/Winblows even with the latest updates

    probably gonna have to wait for new updates in the next 2-3 weeks

    Mac OS X malware exists, Mac plus linux are hit less but they do get hit.

    the issues disclosed by ..leaks affect win, Mac OS X plus linux plus other systems

    Notice Apple seems to be immune to this. Things like this usually attack Windows, another reason why I am thinking Mac.

    Notice how they keep mentioning hospitals are targeted. There seems to be certain things (words) that get people panicked. People do not seem to care if the government or companies get hacked but a hospital is huge. I have to think on this.
