Did you eat that blue gill? Great vid, and an excellent idea! Stocking up the tackle box with dental floss!

Aloha @Bishop. Well done and temper fi!

I alway have a spool of dental floss in my bag too. Never know when stuff will get stuck in my teeth. Especially at the rate that I eat stuff. ;)

And so multipurpose. I never used it for fishing, but did use it and a needle I had on hand to put a button that popped off back on. And no, the button did not pop because of how much I was eating. If snagged on something and tore off. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I am actually going to be doing one in that plan on a two week elk hunt in Colorado next year and that's how I will be cooking that and a Kelly kettle

I put more stitches in my self with dental floss and a needle than any Dr has

What type of hunting? You are a multi-weapon type guy so it could be rifle, musket, or bow.

We have several wonderful Brook Trout streams here in Our area. W e also fish for Pike, Walleye, Perch, Musky and Bluegills. Salmon out in Lake Michigan are hitting right now and we are gearing up for a couple trips out for jack salmon.

I use dental floss as a last ditch fix for leaking o-rings. If they wear down and have a slight flat that leaks under pressure, a half dozen wraps of dental floss, double it under so it stays in place, placed in the bottom of the grove .will often raise the o-ring enough to quit leaking, without raising it so far as to cause excess drag. Not a permanent fix but often will work for a few weeks until the new rings get in and allows you to finish the project. I also use the waxed stuff to hold things in place while assembling to a loose fit and then cut it and pull it out of the way, most often when assembling brushes or gaskets, bearings, etc. Have seen it used to sew up badly cut animals, replace buttons, patch clothes, tie wire bundles in power tool handles where wire ties are to big and to tight. Not up to mechanic's wire, wire ties, duct tape, gasket sealer, paslode cleaner, ect, but does belong in your tool box.
