You gotta help us here. What does "spinning mylar" mean? And what has it to do with neighbors?

Of all the folks here, I'd have expected you Merkun to understand that all the newsprint of days gone by is stored on mylar film strips.
So if Motomom hasn't had any paper and print experience, perhaps the concept of day's long gone is lost.

Gator 45/70, what happens when that little adorable blonde strikes her mother (your wife) and your personally trained Lab rips into the child? Care to guess if I consider the dog or the Master at fault? Just remember, the worst thing that can happen is that you get exactly what you asked for at X-Mas. JMHO.

I can see you don't know how to train a dog, Its a two word command that triggers her. Train your dog well instead of feeding it biscuits and gravy.

Which one of the three blind mice where you?
Every dog that I have trained will kill on command, but only on my command, and there isn't a suggestion of a verbal command.
But those poor Labs that couldn't swim a couple of miles out without being beached on the board to make it into shore, they might have earned themselves a treat at ALVIN'S. (even if you don't have a concept others shall) Yet none of them couldn't be cuddled by the smallest most trusting member of my clan. Remember that there can only be one Alpha, every other member of the pack is subservient. So if I don't make your qualifications as a dog trainer? Perhaps we have a different concept. But if I'm incapable of commanding my canine, you shall just have to brace it one on one, might be a training thing when they are cut loose like a kite without adult supervision. JMHO.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, We are still waiting on you to Mylar up on your B.S. story of Uncle Stan and his toothless Shepard choking out the burglar.
You've had plenty of time to back your yarn up but yet you continue to be evasive and try to deflect to another discussion.
We are not impressed, Change that for us please.

My Dad's last two dogs were sibling Labs, female black Jenny and male yellow Toby. Toby was 130lbs., chubby and knew no enemies. Jenny was 75lbs., runtish and was the "security guard". She watched everything and everybody. Toby would get a visitor's attention while Jenny approached from behind. If we acted normally toward the visitor, no problem. One guy tried to enter the yard after being verbally warned more than once. One nip from Jenny, and he UA'd the yard with some haste. Only time she ever bit. We praised her, she did her job.
They were truly family members. The only two times I ever saw my Dad cry was when the dogs died, in his arms. Jenny went first, Toby some years later.
As to my neighbors, only recently have I talked to two sets. The others I have never spoken with. We all keep to ourselves.

Some folks don't care to carry on much of a social life. I figure he is that way (the cop) and I happily give him his space. I'm not a whole lot better as far as chit chat for the sake of wasting oxygen or gossip. I'm also a private person and the sure way of getting on my bad side is a neighbor (or anyone not close to me) trying to get into my business.
I have no doubts most of my neighbors would help out any way they could if asked. We just don't ask. We're an old neighborhood with a lot of 50+ years old people who still have a bit of common sense.

Oh we see such things on different sides of the windowpane. You honestly don't believe that Gator 45/70 was attempting to incite me into a riot? Yup, you need not take any action. I'm done. BYE BYE.

We have two neighbors in my a.o. and we have an awesome relationship. We all watch out for each other and are really good friends. Things just happend that way. I had to install bear fence on my upper property to contain and discourage our local Grizz who otherwise leave every one else alone. Both my neighbors run cattle and I lease my lower fields to them, and I get first cut when slaughter time comes. My dogs have free run mostly, and they are well trained for both protection and work. Having good relations with the neighbors is the way things should be, and I think people should work to maintain and build that.
