Here is a project that I am working on, I am going to range test it tomorrow and zero the optic.

I started with a Bushmaster Patrolman's 16" carbine with A3 upper and added the following:

    CAA stock saddle
    CAA Rail adapter
    CAA Vertical Foregrip
C-More CTAC, integrated red dot optic with A2 BUIS

On the way is an ACOG type scope.

My goal here is to replicate the issue SOPMOD type kit.

I will have pics tomorrow of it together.

    Review of CAA accessories:

Stock Saddle- greatly improves check weld and stability, plus it has storage for up to 6 CR123 batteries or smaller parts, good piece of gear.

The CAA Rail mount and VFG- nicely made and fit perfectly, there are nicer (read more expensive) options but this meets my needs and will allow the mounting of my white light source and laser without an expensive railed forearm.

C-More CTAC - cost from C-More is $444.00 but can be found cheaper on the web. Have played with it on a friends rifle before and it is a good sight system.

I can't wait to see the pics and reviews.

I think the next item on the list of accessories for my RRA is going to be a EOtech 552.

Bushnell has a new one out for half the money of an EOTech that may suit you. Lower, more of a forward mounting arrangement. Can't use the irons if you have a flat top. I have one on order, will let you know what comes of it after I get it mounted and tested.

Sweet. I will be ordering the flip up sights. I like to be able to have both. EOtech as a primary, and sights as the backup.

Wow, I've got a Bushy M4A3 and that sounds like the ticket to a lot better rifle. Mine is topped with a Sightron 3x9x42. [No batteries], but more weight. I really like the Trijicon post recticle. Post some pictures when it's done. [winkthumb]

Mine is going on a flat top with fold down sights. I don't think I'll be able to co-register without adding a handle or other see thru riser. But with 100 hours of battery life, I think I won't worry too much.

well the CTAC cowitnesses nicely with the irons, and the cheek weld is much improved with the CAA stock saddle so I think that this project is almost done.

I am still adding a tac light with pressure switch and a laser.

I cancelled the order for the scope and I am now looking at a different model.

I don't have the pics yet but I should soon as I get my wife to break out the camera. I can do lot's of things, but taking pics is not one of them.
