Everywhere I go, I see stores collecting for Hurricane and flooding relief. From rounding up your purchase to bake sales, every penny helps. This will be a long-term recovery and it is heart-warming to see the country stand up and support those in need. All those people need water, food and clothing. I think charity at this time is critical. Those people in Texas will do lots of honest labor as they try to salvage what they can but if my donations contribute towards a truck of food so they have something to eat then I am sure they will appreciate it.
It isn't the cost of a case of food or water that slows the process, it's the logistics of getting the food & water into the area's of need that keeps the needy from receiving basic requirements. I'd expect to hear about airdrops to centralized locations on the highest ground if water & food are the top priority?
LOL, I passed police escorted convoys today on I-10 heading west with trailer loads of goods and water! You have no clue of the amount of aid and personal pouring into Texas.
My wife says to donate to feedTexas.org Since she lived near Houston at one point and is always right I figured that's probably a good one.
