US Virgin Islands Siezing Guns and Ammo Ahead of Hurricane Irma

Thanks, I was under the impression that it was the National Guard who was taking guns in NO, and admittedly it wasn't very widespread.

 

It was NG and civilian cops from cities/states with more draconian gun laws.

 

in USVI, you have to have permission to own a firearm and you need to have a license for it I believe.
I also believe IIRC you can only buy ammo for the caliber of the firearm described in said license.
And the license is like 50.00 per year for the firearm.
Yep, not moving there.

 

As I remember (and it has been a few years and my memory is really bad lately) actually carrying the gun/ammo in your car, much less carrying it on your person, the permits and "reasons" required are even more ominous.

If nothing else he knows that if you keep recounting the votes the Democrat will eventually win.
