This animal was caught on a wildlife camera at a National Park in Arizona. I have never seen or heard of such an animal. Can you guess what it is? Try not to google the answer.

It's a saber-toothed stripped-tailed tiger, long thought to be extinct but fairly common at parties where Grateful Dead is played all night.

They are nocturnal to the extreme. I have seen only two that I can confirm for what usually happens is you see a bit of fur that can be most anything. Usually just a flick of the tail. Never seen a road kill.

Um, no...well, I can't say if they eat dingos or not, since the coati is native to South America, whereas the dingo is in Oz.

dingos be aussie vermin. I knew the animal in question by "ring tailed cat". I could not have pulled "coatamundi" out of my mind to save my life, but did recognize the name and it's association with ring tailed cat when I just read it.

Never heard of them eating dingos or small children.

I can conclusively say that eagles have NEVER carried away babies however. When working for a day care, I borrowed a few and dressed them up like a fish and rabbits (they looked so cute!) and put them out in areas where there were eagles. While some of the eagles were able to drag them along the ground for a few inches, NONE of the eagles were able to get ANY of them off the ground. Anything more than five pounds and the eagles were unable to do more than drag them, seven pounds and up and they were not able to do that. NO EAGLES WERE HARMED! Although a few looked mighty POed however!

Some years ago went camping on the shore of one of Arizona's lakes. Got there late so crashed on the ground with food still in grocery bags. What a mistake!

A family of those ringtail buggers woke me up in the middle of the night while stealing all the bread and tortillas. One was peering over the top of the cooler when I shone a flashlight in his face. When the sun came up, the campsite was strewn with tortillas in the weeds, pieces of bread everywhere.

But by gosh, they didn't get the beer!
