Yes, and no! There are things you can do to lessen your risks, and there are things you need to do to lessen effects after exposure should you come in contact. Most published methods will suffice in most situations!

 

Errrrrr....like DR we have some masks and gloves but hopefully living in the country would give us a 'stand off' edge also. I do have a lot of antibiotics but...not sure which one to take for that and it sounds like real nasty stuff. So, that does bring up a point...

They use to make a book that told you what medications were good for what...I think it was called a Physician's Desk Reference (PDR). Can anyone elaborate or recommend or even shed some light?

 

You have a real benefit if you live in a cold climate, most of these bugs need warm and moist to be nasty, and the colder the AO, the better. There are guides through the W.H.O. and i think you can still access the C.D.C. compendium, if not, I'm not quite sure. A good country Doc. Might be willing to help you find the book(s)you need!
Bleach, Vinager, Alcohol, iodine, and Hydrogen peroxide, are your best tools, and steam if you can generate enough and get it hot enough. After that, good antibiotics with penicillin being about the best you can do!
There are several tinticures you can make with plants and tree bark combined with the alcohol, and or salt, or borax, and in certain instances iodine, to make a barrier against these, or for exposure treatment!

There are other titles to look for including The Merck Manual and The PDR Pocket Guide To Prescription Drugs, which is smaller, paperback, and under $10.

Don't forget alcholoides and coiadial silver in your daily routine. Alcholoides have proven to be extremely effective at preventing bugs from getting you. And it even has major advantages against cancers.

I know you guys got much better medical training than us but I am still, even after watching Utubes and etc., not convinced this truly works. Care to elaborate? Really, it needs a separate post. (note: I imagine it has been done in the past but anything two days old in our modern world is out of date)

Again, we are all ears and truly believe a honest and open discussion should be put forward. For example, all the crap on forums (internet) concerning the wonder of using fish antibiotics, ready available in the states, no prescription needed, and exactly the same as the ones issue via prescription by a doctor...except it didn't work for @Tempstar and if he reported correctly, which I doubt not, was a perfect and valid test case.

And, frankly, after spending a couple of hours on the Google God, I am convinced that I need to be more concerned with medical preparations than bullets.

 

Antibiotics wont work if whatever your using them for is resistant to that type of antibiotic. so unless you know exactly what your treating and that its not resistant to that antibiotic.....
I just had a dog in that spent the last 2 months on 3 different antibiotics,, first didn't work (skin infection)... second one didn't do squat.. Vet Finally did a culture (should done to start with) and realized that whatever it was the dog had picked up was resistant to most antibiotics and they had to use a particular one to treat... 3rd one cleared it right up. However running through 3 bouts of antibiotics has caused other problems which there now having to treat.
Given the option, id rather treat naturally when possible and at least avoid the side effects of prescription antibiotics. (plus im allergic as hell to penicillin and several other random meds)
I have had Very good results treating with Colloidal silver, Oregano oil, Thieves oil, etc. and never had any adverse reaction.
(not saying you cant... everything has the potential to cause a reaction.. I know somebody thats allergic to strawberries)

 

Yes, I have done the same. I got a Kindle version of the PDR Pocket guide (~$8, published January 2013, couldn't find a newer one ) and paperback of a PDR 2016/2017 for ~$20 (published November 2015)

You are absolutely correct. Specific antibiotics work well for some specific things and not so well or not at all for others which makes it necessary to know what you are treating and which antibiotic to treat it with. I think the PDR will help with this.

But, I know nothing about Colloidal Silver except it sounds like a treatment for a Vampire bite. I am not doubting you especially since you have experience with it. I am saying that I am ignorant about it. I have heard of it but never paid attention and will be doing some reading about it today. I do think it would behoove the monkeys to have a discussion about it.

I will say this. I got a severe case of food poisoning overseas, thought I was going to die in my own bed. Actually, I was too sick to be in the bed and camped out next to the toilet since I was spending all my time in there anyway. The wife took one look at me and dosed me with a liter of water mixed with some purple looking stuff. I had no idea what it was but it was 'kill or cure' time and at that point I didn't give a damn which but being the Westerner thought you had to treat food poisoning with some sort of prescribed antibiotic. Long story short, I improved immensely but she couldn't tell me what she gave me due to language difference but apparently it was used by everyone in the region as food poisoning is not uncommon there (I never ate outside the home after that incident). In the following years, I think it was Potassium Permanganate (comments or experience?). I am not even sure you can purchase it here or if you can make it but I learned a great respect for home remedies and/or treatments that are outside the normal Western methods for not everyone has access to hundred dollar antibiotics.

 

Interesting. I am going to read up on Colloidal Silver today. I mean, your argument is sound in that the body must have minerals (metals) to be strong and I know many use this Colloidal Silver. I just don't know anything about it. How is it on helping hang-overs? LOL! Got a Russia/Ukraine crowd coming over tonight and I already know the outcome of this.

As far as antibiotics goes, be careful, for a civilian, there are almost no ways to determine what your fighting, and no way to determine what to use to treat. This is one of the reasons I don't care for fish antibiotics, i cannot fight what I cannot identify! Look at Houston, several folks have come down with nasty flesh eating bugs, unless you can identify the exact bug, your screwed, ether you amputate, or you die, there is no simple treatment with antibiotics with nasties like those!!! Even in a well equipped hospital, the chances of surviving one of those with all your parts intact are pretty slim, your going to likely loose something you kinda need!
Silver oxides, iodine, salt and lots of penicillin are about as effective as the more modern high speed medical treatments! Don't forget to steam every thing you use in treatment!
