So it should. About the time they ask permission to put one of those in me, I'll make a significant protest, including violence. They will need significant help if they do it without my permission.

The new healthcare facilities agreed to use the VeriMed reader as standard protocol to scan patients that arrive in emergency rooms unconscious, delirious or confused.

Sneaky bastards aren't going to give anyone a chance to refuse.

Remind me, how does RFID work?

If I am incorrect, they don't allow remote tracking, right?

You need to pass the reader right over the device, correct?

RFID is passive in that the 'chip' or 'coil' has no power source. However it is possiable that it can be 'tracked' from a distance. How else would the .gov know when your animals (you, yours, mine, ours, theirs, ect) have left the properly encoded area???
could not find the web site, but there is a Bunch of people out there that want the 'chip' 'cuz it is cool. anyone help me find it, T3 maybe? was a weird site for sure.[dunno] Scary to say the least,,,, Your HMO or what ever may require it in the near future Scairdbyrd

You can go to rfidjournal.com and find out more than you ever wanted to know about them. They have a FAQ page ....com/faq or a you can follow their link on the left.

The way I read this is that they are going to use the scanner to see if you have a chip, not implant a chip. [dunno] Not that I would not put it past them to implant one if you don't have it while their at it but thats not how it reads in my mind.

Some of the chips seem to have a power source as well. Good for 10 yrs. Not just passive anymore
