Gotta start them young.... she loves planting flowers and taking them to school... beans, tomatoes, oranges, guavas, chili peppers, oregano, basil, thyme, mint, egg plant, tangerine, apple, green onion, etc....
By the way... if anyone knows what kind of beans are next to the morning glorys... let me know... she got them at school... started with one... then went to one bean pod... 9 seads... and now a bush loaded with white and purple flowers and little beans starting to form... the bean pods are huge and so are the beans....
Oh and a couple feuding chameleons.... got these suckers tamed so they will come and get a mealworm out of your hand.....

Did running butterbeans on a piece of lattice by the back door one year. Even though they were hybrids, they came back every year. Not enough to put in the freezer, but they did fine in stir-fry.

Thanks Tracy... She's pretty proud of it... we spend part of the afternoons after school tending the garden, pulling weeds, picking fruit and vegetables, smelling the flowers and herbs, looking at the bugs, bees and feeding and catching the chameleons.... then we ride bike, play volleyball, play with the dogs or take walks.... much better watching TV or playing video games.... gotta start them young!

Her plants are beautiful. And so are your mountains. Do you share your general location? I'm surprized to see such green mountains.

Yay! I guessed right...I'm smarter than I thought! ;) It *is* beautiful.

Have you seen the mountains of the West? Montana, Wyoming, Colorado? Also beautiful, but in a different way. Much of this area is 'alpine desert' - very dry, lots of sage brush; it's all pale sage color.

    Nice, Bear.
I'm looking forward to spending some simple time experiencing life with my 90 day old daughter myself.

Where is Speedy? are the other guys safe with him around?
