If you have some spare money, try the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa in Iceland We didn't have time for it when there, but sure wanted to try it out.
Also in AZ (East Mesa) there are ground water pumps that pump from a aquifer that is heated by a geothermal dome. About 108 deg F. We use to go sit in the after football games. Same heat source for Buckhorn Baths Throwback Thursday: Mesa's Buckhorn Baths' future
There are quite a few in Colorado- Colorado Hot Springs & Mineral Baths | CO Vacation Directory Plus Indian Springs in Idaho Springs is a small place that seems to be the closest to Denver Metro
I have always wanted to go to one I hear there's one called strawberry fields in Colorado but don't know for sure
Camiguin Island, Philippines, offers hot, cold, and soda springs. Great little island to visit. I've been there many times.
One thing to know, Many of the Hot Springs in Co. are clothing optional, and the fact that your more then likely to run across lots of nekid peoples ( many very unattractive) running around. Its also a popular practice to find nekid peoples out on the hiking trails, a some what strange thing when you consider the threat of predators and the lack of any weapons, bells, or sprays! I run into many during my hikes, and they are usually quite surprised to see me with a slung rifle and a pistol on the belt or a pair of revolvers! When I calmly point out the fact that they are hiking in the wilds where humans are not the apex predator, it sure gets their attention! LOL Best encounter was a group of 6 young and attractive Nekid Ladies fly fishing!!!! Worst was a "couple" of nekid dudes hiking hand in hand!!!!
Also, Oregon has several hot springs, the biggest is Bagby Hotsprings up off of Hiway 22 above Detroit Res. Really nice soaking tubs that you can control the temps of, and both private and party tubs. about a half mile hike from the parking area! Washington has a nice springs in Stevenson, nice old hotel and really nice tub set up!
Out shopping now but there are several cool ones in SE Oregon I’ll update later. A really good one in SE Idaho is Lava Hot Springs in ... Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. The spring comes out of the ground in a scenic groto with a nice sandy bottom. They have added concrete retaining walls with seats all the way. At the mouth of the grotto is another soaking area and they also have a first class swimming pool.
Lol,,,,reminds me of a song , I don't know how to post u tube videos , if someone does , it may bring a smile to ya. It's " I don't look good naked anymore ". It's a catchy tune.
I'm losin' it, MM. I read that and, without thinking, immediately thought Celsius. Reminds me of the blond wearing headphones. A man walked up to her, but was unable to get her to hear him. He pulled off the headphones and she fell over, dead. He picked up the headphones to see what she was listening to. Wait for it. A recording was playing,"Breathe innn, breathe out. Breathe innn, breathe out..."
Yeah I think that is the one I was told about will be heading out to Colorado to elk hunt in September hopeing to see and do a lot while out there don't know about a hot spring but I am sure there going to be a cold Creek
That's what I was thinking, Steam Boat Springs! Its a nice place, and you don't get all the hippies like you do closer to the big cities! I almost got kidnapped by a couple of Spring Nymphs out there, Lucky, me, the Wife stopped them cold! LOL
