Worked for me. I am not worried about a couple tenths of picocuries a liter, that is background that's been there a LONG time.

We've got it made here, by comparison. We only have to deal with Arsenic in our groundwater. biglaff

Good ole government always looking out for its subjects ..
This brings a question I've been wondering , a little off topic maybe , Where could I send a water sample to have it checked out ? I'm on well water and have always wondered about any possible contaminants . If I need to start a new thread for this let me know , thanks

If you need your well water tested, best to ask a local real estate person that you trust, your local conservation commission member. or a home inspector as at least in New Hampshire, you can't sell a house without a test. Problem is a simple test is $100, one I need for my greenhouse, etc. A comprehensive one, chemicals, petro chemicals, organics, etc, will be $400 plus, and if they are looking for something special, they may run up to $1,000. A good professional test will take a water chem man about 15 min to draw the samples, he will do local tests until the water stabilizes and he knows it is coming straight from the well.

Meh... we've always have had a bit of radio active something in the water.... it well within tolerances... E.W.G makes it's money from scare tactics under the guise of 'helping' consumers. They use ro post 2 data sets... what exists and what is withon tolerances for human beings now the post anything that will scare people ... i quit supporting them when they went to this eco terrorist crap.

Yep. Right up there with knowing that there's uranium and strontium 90 in your yard. Makes me tired.

Finally got the site to work. Very unuser-friendly, clunky and poorly designed. Cannot fathom the meaning of those silly yellow and orange dots - no legend.
In the end, it seems to be a very cumbersome ad to sell filtration gizmos. Nothing useable here.
I get a quarterly "water quality report" from my utility company, much more informative.

I have my own Geiger counter and the water here is fine not enough to register .the pacific ocean however is a different story .
We've gotten readings as high as 14 over at Oceanside just a few years after Fukushima .
    Probably should check it again.
Funny the about radiation , it is not removed by distillation.
the radiation network shares readings from around the country and these are private individuals the own their own units plugged into the network . it's not a gimmick .

The radiation is not removed, it goes away on its own. However, the particulates that emit the radiation WILL be removed by distillation.

Just need to filter out the radioactive contamination. Water itself does not become radioactive.

While test strips will give a good indication, use them and dissolved minerals, etc tests almost every day in the greenhouse when I am watering and mixing fertilizers, they are not legal for any requirements for selling property, or greenhouse use etc, and if not very well taken, indicate what is coming out of the faucet, not the condition of the well. Well worth using as a shotgun approach as to if the system is safe to drink.

SB21, you noticed I used a modifier to indicate that not just any old realtor would do. Years ago and in a land far away, I actually knew some very ethical and good realtors, Gresham's law seems to work just as well for ethical realtors and strong currencies.

Yea, I noticed. This has just been my experience so far. 30+ years is pretty far tho. But I don't lump them all together. Everyone starts out on a clean slate , it's up to them to decide what get's put on the slate.
