I didn't get to look at these, my wife took pics to show me, and I'm not sure what they are (other than the AR's).

What are they and what would be a price they would easily sell at should I ever get short of cash and need to sell them off. The seller is very motivated (for financial reasons, the guns are perfectly legal and not stolen or anything, most still have packaging and receipts).

There are a couple more my wife didn't get pics of (and a drum magazine for the AR).... I'm hoping there's a 1911 in the bunch :)

Now that I look at some other pics, that first pistol looks like a springfield XD45, don't it?

What kinda price should I offer for that :sneaky: They run what, about 550 new?

The next two pistols are Tauri , first is a Millennium , but can't tell if it is a Pro which is the newest version "If it is it will have the word Pro on the slide" in which they corrected some design flaws that popped up in many just Millenniums . The last one is a Taurus 92 I believe older model probably a 9mm .

Prices locally for me new on both run $350 perhaps $400 for the 92 now in stainless .

I wouldn't count on being able to sell these on a short notice without losing money unless you can get them for $200 each or you just happen to run into someone who needs a good pocket rocket with the Millennium at that time .

The 92 is a sorta clone of the Beretta 92 nothing special about it but it should be a solid shooter , the newer Taurus's based on this have a safety that is different than the Beretta and come in 9mm and 40S&W blue/stainless and fixed or adjustable sights as options .

The shotgun looks like a 20+ year old Mossberg by the choke as I use to own one "Notice the nurled section on the end of the barrel for a grip on it" , the choke consists of a tube that fits over three spring fingers that come off the barrel or are actually part of the barrel , as you screw the tube out it allows the fingers to open for a wider pattern in for a tighter pattern .

I wouldn't give more than $100-125 for a used Mossberg like this .

[ditto] The used XD's in .45 are going for about $450+. I would offer them $400 and see where it leads. I would put the value of the Taurus 92 at $250 if it is in good condition. It is a good pistol and comes with a lifetime warranty. I could see going $25 more if you thought it was really well taken care of. It is after all a face-to-face deal and that is worth a little too. Thanks for the info guys... EL, you've got an XD, don't you? I take it your pretty happy with it?

I'm going over to check everything out in person this afternoon or tomorrow, and I get to take'em out to the farm for a little live fire testing :)

That is a rare opportunity being able to test them out before you buy a used gun. I hope they do well.

I like the XD's. I liked Magnus' when he first bought it and we tried it out. The two I own now have been flawless. I have a five inch tactical and a standard 9mm. I am very pleased with them and I am going to carry them concealed as soon as I find some appropriate leather. While the feel is a lot different than the crisp single action trigger of my 1911's, it still isn't bad. The .45 is very accurate. I am exceptionally pleased with the groups and accuracy I am getting out it. The reliability seems to be on par with Glock's reputation. I only have about 450 rounds through it so far, so more testing data will be needed. If you buy it I think you will be pleased. If memory serves me correct you are a revolver guy, so don't compare the triggers on these autos to the single action trigger, but the double action trigger.

Give us a range report when you can, and let us know what your decision is. The XD's are really popular now, and I think the resale on them would be a lot higher than a lot of pistols. They are the "it" gun for the moment. Good luck.

He want's 450 for the XD.. it's a 40cal. Too much for a used one. I got a great deal on one of the AR's though.

The shotgun is a Franchi Law-12. Don't know anything about them but he wants 550.

The new XD's are going for around $500 so I would try to talk him down. That was a steal on that AR, congrats on the buy of the year. [winkthumb]

550.00 is a good price for a Franchi Law-12. If it is the older model, known as the Spas-12, it is worth around 1200.00. The Law-12 was outlawed for import in 89 and are getting a bit scarce. They are a very reliable combat shotgun; ten round tube, if I remember correct.

Is there an easy way for me to tell the difference that you know of? The receiver was marked law-12.
