Rabbit and other small critter trap

Rabbits beware!

 

Pretty docile (wild?) rabbit.

 

It looks like a pet rabbit...I don't think it ended up in the stew pot....

 

Wish the dirt around here was that easy to dig....

 

I raise rabbits only a docile tame pet would be caught by that trap even mine would but that thig apart they don't like surprises. What I like is the rubber bands used to rest the boards once the rabbit falls in, rubber is not going to last if this is the end of the world stuff, I use rubber bands for shipping and it seems they are dead or rotten before I use the whole bag and have to get a new bag. When I was a kid we used rubber band trot lines worked on bridges or is you had a boat to set out the anchor we used window weights 3 of them anchored the band with the trot line tied to the other end it allowed you to pull the trot line in and pull it back out worked on medium catfish if we used treble hooks andchicken livers bait shrimp or funk bait and crappie if you used minnows and crappie hooks. reason why I mention this is that every year had to buy another set the rubber wen bad not to mention the skirts on our jigs the rubber would curl up just from heat any reel oil would make it worse and faster ruining of rubber.

 

Only issue is that rabbits burrow....
