    Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance will host a presidential candidates forum on Saturday, June 30th in Des Moines. Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Mike Huckabee, Tommy Thompson, and Tom Tancredo will participate.

    Ron Paul, however, will not participate. Why? Because he wasn’t invited.

    We heard about this forum from numerous supporters in Iowa who asked why Dr. Paul was not going to participate. Those supporters assumed that Dr. Paul was invited.

    The campaign office had not received an invitation so we called this morning; thinking we might have misplaced the invitation or simply overlooked it. Lew Moore, our campaign manager, called Mr. Edward Failor, an officer of Iowans for Tax Relief, to ask about it. To our shock, Mr. Failor told us Dr. Paul was not invited; he was not going to be invited; and he would not be allowed to participate. And when asked why, Mr. Failor refused to explain. The call ended.

    Lew then called Mr. Steve Sheffler, president of the Iowa Christian Alliance, to talk with him. Mr. Sheffler did not answer so Lew left a message. He has yet to respond.

    Why are the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluding the one Republican candidate who scored at the top of every online poll taken after the MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN debates? Why are they denying Iowans the opportunity to hear from the Republican presidential candidate whose popularity is growing by the day?

    We couldn’t get answers to these questions from Messrs. Failor and Sheffler. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Their contact information is below.

    It's ironic that on the same day we learned the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance excluded Dr. Paul from their candidates forum, we received a call from ABC News confirming Dr. Paul’s participation in its nationally broadcast August 5th debate to be held in Des Moines.

    Mr,. Failor:
    I among many other conservatives have recently learned Dr. Ron Paul ihas been denied an invitation to debate the other republican candidates in Iowa( at least in your debate on saturday jun 30th. As you probvably are aware Dr paul has led the other candidates in polls taken immediately after previous debates by major network news organizations. Dr paul may not speak for the "new" republican party; but he definitely is speaking for a majority of conservative Americans and deserves his fairshare; no.strike that, the American people deserve a chance to hear and let him stand on his record and principles..
    congressmanPaul is one of the few remaing statesman who understands and respects the constitution and the evils of a loose cannon large government.straying from its constitutional responsibilities. If dr paul does not speak for the republican party than the republican party no longer speaks for me( a two time bush suporter).After watching the exexcutive continue to consolidate powers and freely restrict civil librerties in a most unconstitutional way I would gladly advocate Mr's bush, and cheney be legally removed from office before the end of their term. To react as Mr Guluianni did in a previous debate with dr paul; denying the remotest possibility
    America has ever created any animosities by overstepping her bounds overseas is akin to a 5 yearold repeatedly denying he devoured the cake when his fingers are covered in icing. Refusing to entertain the idea does not change the historical record, nor does it allow us to go forward. I see little difference between the current repblican and democratic parties, Dr Paul was the standout candidate I could support.
    Please explain to Mr Gulianni It should not be ; nor was it ever before; a crime or insane to question the direction or policies of the peoples' U.S. government. Perhaps that government has been usurped.while we were fed a fat- free media diet of paris hilton, oj simpson , american idle (sic idol) andfootball games..
    It is my hope you and others wishing to "shutdown" dr. paul will reconsider .( not for the good of YOUR party, but for the good of OUR nation and OUR children's future).
    Respectfully;

    a concerned citizen, father, vet.

    "The republican party better wake up ( Unless you actually want a third party to muscle in)...Dr paul's conservative constitutional agenda is the only chance we have to avoid business as usual ( which is rapidly becoming a non starter there's a new paradigm waiting its cue in the wings stage right, (You can evolve or get run over in the ensuing groundswell.) ..[own2]

    What really is disturbing is the concerted effort by main-stream media and .gov to limit public exposure to Dr. Paul. They are doing everything in their power to discourage his platform from being heard. The Emperor has no clothes!
