my grandson and his brother in law just finished truck driving school at a cost of $6600.00. There were about twenty students and they were the only two who had to pay the $6600.00. The other students were unemployed and not working so the taxpayers of the United States paid their tuition in full,everything including food,and travel cost. Something is wrong when hard working people have to pay for people who will take care of themselves. Something IS wrong.
I don’t know how many were illegals. I know my grandson had the highest test scores in the class. He already has a job starting Monday. I wish there was some way to keep up with those other students and see how long they had a job and not back on the gov payroll. I think it’s time we true Americans take back Our government. Something is wrong when politicians can get elected and in four years become multi millionaires. Something Is wrong. ShTF is when we run out of money to pay for all of these free things. Something Is wrong. Let’s take back Our country,Now.
Congrats to your Grandson for passing the course & getting a job. Sadly colleges and trade schools have minority quotas to fill in order to get funding. We know something is wrong and some are trying to fix the system while others are trying to get more freebies. Every time I read about .gov wanting to get rid of student loan debt I get very angry. I took out student loans and paid them back. I left college and got a job immediately. I was raised that debt is to be repaid. If you sign on the line then you have to repay.

Most schools you take a loan out with the school and companies that hire the drivers will pay the loan off if the driver stays with the companies for a certain amount of time. I was an over the road instructor and most of the students told me they were going to quit right off the bat.(always a strange thing to hear) I always explained they would be in debt for a lot of money since the company would not pay off their loan. I also pointed out that staying with the same company for at least a year would make them look less flakey. It would show them having driven a summer and winter. Good luck to your grandson. Tell your grandson to pick a company and stick with them, they are all about the same. Consider fast food places, about the same. If you or the grandson have any questions let me know. It's wrong, unless it's a loan then I am okay with it. Normally, I am against government loaning money for schools but the trades are really needed and a loan of $6000 is not life ruining, not like some university loans. The problem is many go to university on government loans taking Basket Weaving or Cultural Dance or some other junk that is not needed in society so when they finish they can't get a job, can't pay back the loan (so taxpayers are out the money) and are ruined in debt at an young age. I am all for the government giving loans for trades and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degrees and we certainly need more doctors even nurses, degrees the nation needs, but the rest? No. Hell, I would go so far to say the government should write off the loans of medical degrees if they serve a portion of time in an area that needs them, 350+ doctors for 1 less F-35 a year (that a million bucks per degreed doctor), I'm okay with that. Maybe having more doctors will lower the cost of a visit...but I doubt it. But, taking back the country? Not going to happen... This country is going to go the way that all other great empires went but faster. There is so much corruption, so much pork belly projects, so much mismanagement and waste, we are running to the tune of their agenda not the people's. If one could simply think what our lives would be like if indeed the country was run for the people. Life here isn't bad but it could be much, much better. Our forefathers were geniuses but they could not have foreseen politicians and judges staying in power a lifetime. Vote them out? Yeah, right, sounds good in theory except it don't work in reality once they get in there and have access to the power and funding. EDIT: I was thinking last night, one change could turn our country completely around. It's a Robert Heinlein change. Only allow those to vote that served in the nation's armed forces or in some of form of service for the country. I think it would work.
Sooner or later,,, it will get worse. I fear the day ,,, but the day is going to come when will have another demoncrat or socialist as POTUS. And this is just my guess , but when this happens and all the .gov handouts start happening, the lazy will love them for it. And we’ll have 3-5 terms under them before a republican gets back in , and it’ll probably take 3-5 more terms to start getting things straightened out,,, IF they even ever get straightened out. This is just my suspicions. I’ll be lucky ( depending on how you look at it ) , if I live through 5 more terms. So I may see the downfall, but not the remake. Good luck y’all.
Well, I think they did see the lifetime aspect, but life expectancy has increased more than a little bit. Pretty sure they did not see that coming.

I fear the day ,,," Sometimes when I get really fed up and I realize it truly is hopeless I wish for it to get worse for it is the only possible way for it to ever get better...and it might not get better given what we have seen our government do the past 50 years. It could turned into a Democratic Republic in name only...and some would say it has already turned.
2 Points of good news. Truck drivers are being paid big bucks to haul materials in the oil patch and McCain is on his last leg!
I fear Trump is but a short reprieve and then it will be full-on socialism / communism. Too may politicians promising free stuff and too many people buying into that illusion. When it happens, this country will face economic collapse in relatively short order. The government will be forced to print money in the short term but even that won't stave off the inevitable.
I fear we have a short breather before the Liberals get back in power and push their strange ideas on us all. Strange how the good stuff going on right now is ignored by our media. Trump ain't perfect but things are going damn good. Folks who haven't weaponed up should do so while they can. So many people so willing to give up rights and freedoms.Sheeple all around us.
These people get their CDL and pay higher taxes as their wages go up. I lost my job in 2007 was told about my options got my CDL the same way. been driving for years. its a lot better money than I was ever able to earn before I got it
