    Here is the clue.
You ask for Breeder Cubes aka Cow Cubes.
And they started loading these. DSCF3081.JPG

And here is the answer below, for this is what was in the sacks.
So what does this have to do with bad weather in Cattle Country?

That's the Punch Line, see if you can guess what it is!

I would guess made from animal proteins! Sort of cannibalistic, feeding cow to a cow! LOL

The answer comes from experience in both the area and cattle.

Nothing to do with smart, only experience to time ,place and a certain type of animal.

Hows about those sacks of feed are intended for sheep, goats n llamas.. They eat different forage than cows..
Cold storm coming? Want to feed the cows hotter feed so they will fight off the cold weather.
    Right? Wrong??

I guess the younger crowd from San Francisco would catch on, but I doubt if many of that crowd are on the forum tonight. Old joke, never ask old timer why he needs two pairs of boots when he goes to the sheep barn. Some of the jokes from 70 years ago would not make it past the mods.

1, Breeder Cubes are a cooked extruded vegetable product.
    2. This means they vary in water content and are sacked in a breathable paper sack.
    3. Missing the paper sack and being in a waterproof sack used for dried grains meant the Feed Mill ran out of paper sacks, storm was coming and a run on feed.
    4. Because there was a run on Cattle feed due to the past storms and the coming storm plastic sacks were used.
    5. The Feed Mill let the seller know and attached the proper 20% protein signage tag.

So events produced a clear sign to me a storm was gonna happen and I opened a sack before I loaded to check the product.

I keep no more than a 12day supply of Cow Cake to prevent mold and I top vent my feed bins.

    Just something you learn.

SHTF and folks will not learn such things in time and over or under buy if stock is available.
