I have been recently looking at the new offering in holsters, mostly around IWB type for conceal carry.
The method that I typically like is appendix carry which allows me to vary my clothing to work around it. But I decided to change it up a bit for some up coming training I am going through.

I picked up this holster the other day for my S&W MP Shield that I routinely carry day to day.

Wondering what other Monkeys like to use for their carrying of firearms on a day to day basis, especially when it comes to conceal carry?

My work precludes carry, but my wife swears by Don Hume iwb holsters. Don't ever recall a problem with fit or construction...and that goes for pistols and revolvers.

I have a alien tuck and it's the best holster I have ever owned.

I have carried into multiple agencies ( but never scanned to date). I once walked up to a nondescript building to get fingerprinted, saw the scanner through the door and went back to the truck. Un-armed, walked back to the door and guard met me smiling and asked if I was ready........ :)
If I see a scanner while visiting, I excuse myself from the rest of the visit. ;)
Seattle has these gun free signs all over the place... they never know I am carrying... I never care about their sign!!!

For various reasons, I do a cross draw OWB in plastic, but for dress wear I have a custom leather holster that really looks good. (Also cross draw.)

Asked to leave one place 'cause the mag bottom flashed when I reached for my wallet. This state is open carry.

We are open carry in WA....but to many nut jobs on the west coast to feel comfortable doing that unless you are in like company....at the range or whatever. We recently had a loon tackle a guy at a mall that was open carry.... lucky he did not get his ass shot!!

Cross draw for general comfort shooting reasons or for offset to weak-hand shooting?

Strong side shoulder is toast, raising a pistol up far enough to clear leather, is, ah, a chore. Also, sitting with or without seat belts makes a draw easier and way less obvious. (And your passenger can't grab it quite as easily. You don't pick up hitchhikers, do you?)

I carry every day, nearly every where. I carry a Ruger LC9s in a Alien IWB holster. Its very comfortable and hides well. Alien makes their holsters right here in Idaho, about 20 miles from my home.

@Yard Dart "Wondering what other Monkeys like to use for their carrying of firearms on a day to day basis, especially when it comes to conceal carry?"

Ohhhhh...don't ask. I have some very expensive holsters and some cheapos, pretty, ugly, leather, plastic, kydex - you name it. I don't like any of them. It seems, more and more, I am leaning towards the Belly Band as conceals better than most, I can easily shift it when getting in/out of car and doesn't poke me when I sit.

What I want to try next is a Cross-Draw in Kydex but I have spent so much on holsters that I am a bit leery to purchase one so still looking for a good one. I think a cross-draw would make sitting easier and still be accessible within the car.

EDIT: BTW reference 'Alien Wear'...FYI those that wish to try one of their holsters... They will indeed let you try it and if you don't like it, they will return your money, no hassle. I did this and was pleasantly surprised.

When I do Carry, it is my Belgian Browning HiPower in 9mm, in a modified Shoulder Rig that hangs on my non-
Dominant Side, under my Sport Coat, or Jacket... and use a Cross Draw with my Dominant Hand...
Or when Heavy FirePower is needed, my S&W M29 6" in a Chest Carry, again on my Left side, and using a Cross Draw with my Right Hand... This doesn't happen very often as my hands do NOT do well after the 6th Shot, with Full Magnum Loads...

20180102_122635. I carry 4 0-clock IWB in a custom Orygun holster company hybrid leather/kydex most times!
The rest of the time, its ether double drop leg cowboy cross draw revolvers, or a custom made Ted Blocker Shoulder rig week side with mag pouches on the strong side!
Here is my IWB i use most times!

I like keeping my Walther p22 in my pocket, it is really lightweight and comfortable to carry every day. If I get nervous about something I can put my hand in my pocket, around the grip, and thumb the safety off without drawing even the slightest amount of attention.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cross-draw holster, leather or kydex?

Kydex for duty (every day wear) leather for dressup. MAKE SURE the angle is right for you when the holster is on a proper width belt.

To my post #18 above --
The angle problem can, to a limit, be solved by using a belt that is on the narrow side for the belt loop(s) on the holster. That WILL induce meddling around when moving around, but it works. Also, having extra holes will help with comfort, or you can use something like a military web belt that can be adjusted to any position to accommodate heavier or lighter clothes.
