Lightly (heh heh) used table top model, brass, includes white 10" shade (plain white, little swirl in glass) Lox-on glass chimney, fairly new wick installed, new-in-box mantle. Orignal owner's manual. These sell for $250 or more new.

Spare parts are 2 extra glass chimneys (~$20-25ea), 3 extra mantles (~ $15ea), two new wicks (~$20ea)...about $125 worth of spares, give or take a little.

$175 including shipping/insurance to your US location.

Has a few tarnish spots that may, or may not, polish out. Worst is front of base where the slope of the upright part meets the base.

Shown with shade & Chimney attached. Total height off table about 24"

That is a deal folks , chimney's made in USA are the best , brown box one .
    I have 4 units here ,2 table ,1 hanging , 1 wall mount .
It takes a while to learn one and they are all a little different to get use to, but the best lamps in my view !!

    What Sloth said!

I have three as well, and even though I'm a pressure lamp collector I won't give up my Aladdin lamps.

An excellent deal. Spares are getting harder to find and the Aladdin is the brightest and most economical unpressurized lamp out there. It's silent, which is nice, and while it can be a bit fiddly they are not hard to maintain.

I heated my home with only two Model 23s in weather that didn't get out of the teens for three days.

This is the kind of deal that will have many kicking themselves a few years down the road. Just the time and frustration saved in hunting spares makes it a winner!

That's why I'm including spare parts for it. Have other lamps, we just decided to downsize a bit as we've almost never used this one. I bought it new 30yrs or so ago. Original wick in it, near full length...trim off 1/4", put kero/oil in it, and it's ready to fire up. Supposed to be equal to a 60w bulb I've read, but seems a lot brighter than that. The shade diffuses the light nicely if used on a table.

NOTE: IF you live above 4,000' altitude, Aladdin recommends a 'high altitude chimney' for best performance, which these are not (and I don't have any....as I'm at 2200').

Another item of brass to polish - got enough for several lifetimes (brass that is). Good lamp, got one in blue glass and a very good price.

From a survival perspective the brass base lamps have the added advantage of durability.

I'm glad somebody grabbed this deal. I was looking at dusting off a place of honor for it myself. White shade would make a nice trio with a Coleman CQ and a Rayo.

    Nice catch HK_User.

Got a spot for it right next to the Caboose Lamp.

Had to decide if I could afford it.

    Thanks.

Got the Simichrome Metal Polish ready.

If you add or cut the kerosene / diesel fuel with a small amount of white gas/naphtha the stock pipe will work . Just do a small amount till you figure the cut rate and then prep a large container with (JP1 ;) )
Be slow at the amounts , 5-8% i hear was enough for steady lights .

Well I had hosted a shrimp Boil for the Yankee Side of the family (in laws) last year and had bought extra Propane Tanks and Burners, along with that I had Lantern trees and Propane Lamps.
So I really didn't need another lamp but you can never have too many preps.

I guess they'd never seen a Bayou single pot meal before.

Did you dump it down the middle of a picnic table on some newspaper? That's the way we serve a boil around here. Best not to be in your Sunday best, unless you have family in the dry cleaning business.

    Wow. Great buy.
I love my Aladdins. Pretty much lost track of how many i own. Thinking around 5 or 6 between the home and the bol.

Also have numerous kerosene lamps including an 1800's Fostoria "gone with the wind" lamp.

If anybody doesn't know about them they put out a tremendous amount of light. They use mantles similar to Coleman pressure gas lanterns. Heat output is also fairly high.

My bol is over 8300' so i made an aluminum chimney extender out of foil. Works great .

I use the Aladdin every time i go up there. I've been lucky in that i haven't had to replace the chimney, wick or mantle yet. I use low odor mineral spirits as fuel. That was suggested to me years ago. Burns very clean with no smell.

My suggestion is every prepper should have at least one if not two. Remember to stock up on replacement parts.

Well... Next time i go up i could get one. Hardest part of making it was searching for something with the right diameter to use to wrap the foil around. Didnt find anything so i used a paper towel tube. Then just expanded the roll of foil (3 or 4 layers) to fit over the chimney. Folded over the top part to hold the shape.

I don't see why i cant take a measurement of the OD of the chimney and just go to 7-11 and start measuring assorted aluminum beverage containers. Something has to be close enough.

The foil one has been working for many years though

    Aladdin Chimney extension tubes:

LEFT: Model B aluminum extension tube extends the chimney height 3-3/4 inches

RIGHT: Model 23 brass extension tube extends the height of the chimney by 3 inches.

Chimney tubes can be stacked for high altitude use.
