I was looking at teas for my fiance and saw this and snatched it up. Even if it sucks, it's a cool tin.
It is a cool Tin . Hopefully it's not the leftover bags from the bottom of the Bay from the original Tea Party ,,,
That looks interesting. I could enjoy a strong breakfast tea. I have a summer beverage I like. Two shots of gin, two shots of vodka, two squirts of lime juice over ice with a Diet Squirt poured over it. It's called a Bitter Pill. Sounds as awful as it tastes, but on a hot summer afternoon at the beach it's the perfect cooler.
I'm a tea drinker, picked up the habit in Merry Ole' England and never got rid of it - strong black tea with a just a dash of milk. In fact, just finish my second cup this morning. I buy Tetley tea...which is rather strange because I use to drink their beer (called 'Mild') while in the UK also but it's the best I have found here stateside to feed the habit.
I'm a tea snob. I really love a good cup of bullet tea for breakfast and peach honey at night. If you're still looking Davison's sells terrific tea on amazon and the silicon steepers are also inexpensive and wonderful. I have yet to damage one and given my propensity for clumsiness, that's a thing.
Yeah it's snowing right now... And we're not even in the Great White North! Love the tin though. I'll be looking for one. It's a great conversation piece.
Ah, spring time, time for the lighter refreshing drinks to come out! 2 oz Tequila 4 oz Fresh orange juice 1⁄4 oz Grenadine Add a few Maraschino Cherries and an slice of Blood Orange and enjoy!
One part gin to two parts grapefruit juice and LIBERAL use of salt in a tall tea glass of ice. If you ladies can't handle that then a gallon or two of mojitos will work too. Great when the temp and humidity both are in the upper nineties.
This was an experiment, but it makes a nice late summer cooler. I filled a small beer glass with nice ripe muscadine grapes, poured the glass full of Rex-Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon, (yes, i had to look up the spelling, i just call it Rooster.) and put it in the freezer. The contrast between the super sweet grapes and the tart wine is nice, and the ice cools you off nicely, as does the frozen glass in your hand. Cheers
A gallon of fresh brewed "iced" tea everyday. No sugar/sweetener and no ice. I like it warm right after brewing the best. IMO tea has too good a flavor to mess with. I've had brick tea I picked up in Sri Lanka and it was very nice. I've never found anything in the States that compares. Day and day out it's just good old Lipton.
Man ,,I'm not knocking your drink choices , but I can't drink tea with more than a half cup per gallon , can 2 ounces of any kind of liquid dissolve 1 cup of sugar ,,, If it matters at all , I'm a straight up drinker myself , the most I'll do is pour it over ice then remove the ice , I will not let the ice melt in my likker , it ruins it in my opinion . I have to think this 1 cup thing is a misprint ,,
My favorite weekend beverage. In an 8oz glass, 3 shots of Captain Morgan spiced rum, 2 shots of Orange Juice and fill the glass with Cranberry juice. Shake or stir. Enjoy. My daily morning drink is traditional Turkish brewed coffee. About 3 cups to just get me started
Rum diluted with OJ.... shudder.... but im ok with mojitos (diluted with lime juice hehe) favorite rum is still Sailor Jerry's or if i want dark.... Krakken the 151 you cant get in US.
