I think you will find this site totally above and beyond an expectations you may have. Pull up a chair and start digging into our vast resources. Download and or print anything you need. Feel free to jump into a thread or convo on the shoutbox to give input or ask questions. People here are very tolerant and not judgemental. Hard core trolls and personal attacks are covered in the Code of Conduct. Very few of those last long or come here. Most all are very friendly who reside here ..... after awhile it becomes a warm welcoming home. Just my personal opinion.

 

Thanks for the welcome. I was a moderator on FS back in the day on the MedBoard then HCL started putting non medical moderators on it and I basically left when I saw the way it was going. But those cwere the days when you could get AR's only with carrying handles, AK's were still reasonable, SKS's were available, and parts kits were plentiful. Sigh. Getting old sucks! But I did learn a lot back then and would like to think I helped a lot of people out with the information I (and others) provided. Now we just have to get the new generations involved. My nephews are coming around (both in their 20's) and are actually asking for instruction from their old man and Uncle. I told my oldest nephew that he needs to step up as his Dad and I aren't always going to be around. And if he waits too long then he will be SOL because we aren't going to be here forever. It shocked him (I could tell by the look on his face) and it has acted as a catalyst. I just wish I had some "old guys" around to teach me when I was younger. Anyway I digress. Again, tyvm for the warm welcome.

Unless it's at Guadalcanal, lol. Just busting chops , sailor. My grand dad was a Torpedos mate in the Pacific on PT boats. After his boat was sunk and he was picked up by a tin can, the PO at repodepot asked if he was "ready to get back in the fight and give the Japs what for!?". My granddad calmly replied "No offense, but I would rather drive a truck. Ain't any sharks looking to eat me on land". So for the rest of the war, he drove a truck. And drank beer. A lot, lol.

 

Brother Did his 20 with Big Green, made a man outta him for sure!
Oldest Son is on his second hitch in Uncle Sams Beach Club for misguided children, and loves it!
