Wife's going to need something to bake in and the fisher stove we're going to heat with doesn't fit the bill. Wondering about a 2 burner stove/range. Any suggestions around here. First floor is only 16x16 with stairs on one side so we're tight...finally have things moving though!

Been sitting like this for a month, having a right of way dispute with an extremely deplorable gas company. Be back to work on it in a week or so though. All in good time.

Sounds like a cooktop/oven out of an RV might be the ticket?

Look for a junked RV, and check out the Propane stove & oven... We had one in our Beach Cabin that was just the right size... Four burners on the top, and a fair-sized oven underneath... It was removed from the cabin when we sold the Beach place this spring, and it now resides in our garage, in storage at the new place..

No need in me wasting any more space than what I am now , take ^^^^ everyone else's opinion here . It's tried , true , and it works .

  8. We got a camp chef. 2 burners, oven. Works great. But oven is a little small. No turkeys, but bakes everything else fine. Its portable so we use it in the outdoor kitchen in the summer to keep the heat out of the cabin, and also for canning.
Inside the cabin we use a stove/oven combo salvaged from a camper. Takes up little space, and also works well.

Make sure you get one with a battery powered igniter. I hade to buy three before I found one that didn’t need 110v to light the stove.

Cooking and banking is hot business in the summer, and some meals leave lots of odor in a small space. A folding oven like this gives flexibility and space savings. Add a pizza stone in the bottom and insulate the sides with a fire blanket and it's a great stove top oven. .com.google.Chrome.

  13. For over 10 years when making killer smoky tasting pizzas outside. I took a regular 16 x 16 patio paver. Cleaned it thoroughly. Then place it on a gas or charcoal grill. Cover it with aluminum foil. Preheat the grill/brick. Gotta preheat it! Then just slap a pizza or flat bread or whatever on the brick, and it cooks great.
You can add wood chips if you want to. But most grills have their own built in flavors. Lol.
Whether you toss in a cheap pizza/high end pre fab/ or home made. It will come out with that smokey crispy pizza flavor, like all the old school pizza places used to make.
Try it. You'll like it. You can pick up the paver for a couple bucks as opposed to the high priced

Think I'd worry about finishing the roof and the siding first. All you need is one good rain and all the work and materials you have into it so far is for naught

......like I said, right of way issue. Can't carry tools 3/4 mile in to finish and "all for naught" is a little dramatic. Felt is water tight and 2' overhangs are keeping everything dry. It'll be okay.

Ditto on the junk rv. Everything you need for the cabin is in an rv. Picked up an older camper 2 years ago for $1000. Spent maybe $400 on it fixing it up. Wasn't bad enough to part out. Propane frig, range, hot water heater. Setup for solar. Led lights. Shower and toilet.

we had one of these Coleman ovens when I was a kid >>>> been looking for one to show at a garage sale - rare as freaking diamonds - ours didn't fold and I think it was an early model >>> worked damn well like a gas oven back home - just had to figure out the quirks ....

I have one of those Coleman ovens. Works great on a propane burner. Used it on my wood stove, but to get it hot enough to reach 325 - 350 degrees the cabin got way too hot. They are simple but work quite well.
