Police said the man was able to get out of his wheelchair, struggle with the invader, take his gun away and shoot him. The events at the Village Oaks Apartments in the 3500 block of East Overton Road were reported to police at 2:49 a.m. The intruder was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas where he died.
